    Summary: The thesis is a etnografia in Ecuador and southern Colombia with a group of rrom belonging to the community of Quito who came to Latin America from Serbia in the late nineteenth century. This etnografia seeks to offer an answer to the origin and migration of the group, they were detallademente the theme of the rrom language, the basic units of the relations of kinship group, their livelihood strategies, social organization Age, power relations and social control within the community, beliefs and practices magico-religiosas traditional and current and beliefs of pollution. The population rrom in Ecuador and Colombia is characterized, above all, by being a minority ethnic constantly relationship with a majority of the society that depends for subsistence and not having as ethnic group, a territory of exclusive occupation or administratively defined front other ethnic groups. These característics are reflected in two central issues to be dealt with cross throughout the investigation, firstly, the importance of the relationship between inter rrom and the majority population and the social position they have in society, including image it is the Roma in this part of the world and, secondly, the social organization of space rrom reflected in their mobility, their system vivienda-asentamiento and territoriality.
