Summary: Discuss the (un) roads conservation -restauración of works of modern art and / or contemporary supposed to go further, as it requires a little thought. Punta an apparent "Iceberg" invaluable proportions, the same contemporary art, assumes many inquiries, not only in their appearance estético-histórico, but also by the different interventions that often changes the nature of the work; The work is ephemeral work becomes permanent, suffering further damage so traumatic for interventions and essentially adding a new identity in order. The ownership of the spaces, the indiscriminate use of all or any material that could convey a message, it creates an aesthetic own for the moment. The transition from an aesthetic and chaos statement of appropriations conceptual generated controversy that delimitarían "the meaning of art for the years 1970". From here, two guesses: First, that the traditional notion of art, defines a conservation action through the analysis and identification of criteria estéticos-históricos precursors creative act. The permanently in the time-enables a historical attraction, forged in the materials selected for the original representation. The second assumption, that the breaking of established standards creates a multiplicity of interpretations of artistic endeavor, leading to false conclusions that can be devastating in the valuation process and appreciation directed toward conservative interventions. Such guesses are recognized taking into account the existence of a dialectical relationship that covers both dimensions; the traditional concept of art and the new symbols derived from the conceptual art. This thesis proposes a synthesis of the historical spread of the concept of conservation of origin and socio-cultural implications of the policy on heritage sites and dual polarity estético-histórica contemporary art specifically in the moments that marked the aesthetics of the years 1970 in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The project was the basis for the investigation techniques -científicas in the field of conservation science, with applications in preventive maintenance. This type of furniture features very personal, it is well known and beloved by all iniestenses and surrounding villages, but it is a great unknown in general terms to a broad number of people and also within the historical heritage. The second is to collect as much information necessary about these workshops: oral reports, documentaries, etc.. In addition, after an arduous field work, it has been able to study a large number of pieces (a total of more than a hundred), on which we can appreciate how the furniture has evolved technically and artistically over the centuries by various causes, until arriving at the moment almost entirely to a disappearance of the same. Once systematized and evaluated all of this information collection, has made a description of location and use on the furniture more characteristic in this town, as well as a study and construction and ornamental decoration. On the latter, it has sought to take a different approach, very technical, following the course of action that takes this investigation, which focuses on perception and visual communication that exists under internal decoration reflected in the furniture. The third is a completely technical. First has conducted a study rigorous, while descriptive, on each of the materials and techniques used for the development of this popular piece of furniture that not only comes from the people but is in fact the people and for the people. It then provides a methodology based on a technical analysis focusing on methods científico-analíticos available to us, enabling us to hear each of the materials that compose this kind of furniture (as it lacks technical studies), helping us to identify with more accurately what is the current state of conservation of the pieces. In addition to these methods científico-analíticos, was devoted to conduct a series of tests with different materials, both natural and synthetic, used in the treatment of conservation, subjecting them to a program of accelerated aging chamber or air conditioning. The fourth and final phase is a continuation of the third in which it brings the practice. There will always be a diagnosis on the state of conservation pieces.
