Summary: The objective of this paper is to demonstrate that the use of the Mediterranean scene in a significant amount of Gothic novels of the classic period, from 1764 to 1820, makes us consider this element as part of the inclusive Gothic fiction universe. This exploitation of the scene in southern Europe allows us to establish a causal link between the anti-bias, political and cultural rights of the people towards English Catholic countries of the south, and the use of such a scenario in the Gothic fiction. In the context cultural-religioso English, the Catholics of Europe were different and lower, but with a large and menacing power. This thesis aims to elucidate what were the causes that led to the English Gothic novelists to place much of his work in a scenario Mediterranean and what is the political background, religious and cultural behind this election. We studied the different elements of the Gothic novel English and well established their importance and functionality outside of the geographical environment, in other words, what were the traits sociological and cultural factors that affected the process of adopting it as a feature Latino fiction. The casinos are a type of architecture that emerges in the late eighteenth century and will reach its consolidation in the nineteenth century. Another typologies very taste of the new social class are Spas that since the eighteenth century are undergoing a major transformation. Although the therapeutic properties of the bathrooms were known long is this eighteenth century when it starts to modern thermal design space. The bathers are demanding greater quality in treatment and stays, which entails that the architecture of the building and the treatment of the environment will be enriched. The resorts will reach its boom in the nineteenth century thanks to the development of scientific knowledge that would reveal the composition of the water and its medicinal actions, as well as have the means to facilitate its implementation tailored to each therapeutic need. Although it will be its use as a means of recreation for the people that will enhance their development must not be ruled out their use for washing of the population. MULTI-PROTAGONIST FILMS IN THE 1990SAuthor: AZCONA MONTOLIU MARIA DEL MAR. Year: 2006. University: ZARAGOZA. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE FILOSOFÍA Y LETRAS. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE FILOSOFÍA Y LETRAS. Summary: This thesis examines the proliferation of narrative structures corals in the American film of the decade of the nineties. Given the limited literature on the subject, the thesis begins with a description of the background and analysis of gender reefs through various uses and functions that have been assigned to this structure in films such as Grand Hotel (Edmund Goulding, 1932), La Grande Illusion (Jean Renoir, 1937), some of the films of Howard Hawks, movies or disasters like El Coloso in Flames (Irvin Allen and John Guillermin, 1974), among many others. Once analyzed the background, one of the key points of the investigation carried out in this dissertation is a review of the theory of genre film. The generic systems do not depend only on historical considerations and industrial but mainly emerge from the speech, which sets zeal taxonomic relationships among texts and others from the use of common elements or traits that will be understood as the conventions of the genre. This thesis defines gender film not as categories with clearly defined edges and a qualifying but merely as sets of conventions in the service of specific texts. The conventions of the genre reefs are extracted from the analysis of films such as, among others, Grand Canyon (Lawrence Kasdan, 1991), Magnolia (Paul Thomas Anderson, 1999), and especially Lives Crusaders (Short Cuts, Robert Altman, 1993 ). Because any form narrative has some ideological implications and relates to their social and cultural environment in ways more or less complex or indirect, in this part of the research also examines the consequences that entails the use of this narrative structure especially when it relates to the representation of interpersonal relationships and social conditions in contemporary American society. The last two chapters analyze the implications of the combination of some of the conventions of the genre reefs themselves with those from other genres such as film and the teen romantic comedy. As demonstrated through the analysis of American Pie (Paul Weitz, 1999), the use of a choral narrative structure in conjunction with the conventions of film adolescents is particularly appropriate to capture the conflict between group identity and individual identity inherent in the gender since birth. This combination also get generic offer a more complex view of sex through the inclusion of a plurality of sexual ethics that are equitably distributed between men and women. In the case of the romantic comedy, the conventions of cinema choral give you the opportunity to articulate an intimate picture Polyphonic have a place where most of the options that are seen as unique to the more conventional romantic comedy in which the number of characters concerns . At the same time, as demonstrated in the analysis of singles (Cameron Crowe, 1992), many of the structural features of the films corals, such as its episodic nature, the role of chance and the open nature of the process suggests that the most of its end, provide an appropriate framework for the representation of the protocols amorous and sexual contemporaries in a cultural context that has been altered by the impact of the social movements of previous decades and in which the ideals of romantic love are inadequate to explain the experience of contemporary relationships. THE PENITENT SINNER IN THE NEW COMEDY. THE HAGIOGRAFIA MADE THEATERAuthor: FERNANDEZ RODRIGUEZ NATALIA. Year: 2006. University: OVIEDO. Place of defense: DEPARTAMENTO DE FILOLOGIA ESPAÑOLA. Place of preparation: UNIVERSIDAD DE OVIEDO. Summary: The fundamental objective of this dissertation is to elucidate the mechanisms dramatization of the legends hagiográficas depending on the parameters of the new comedy. The study focuses on a typology hagiográfica peculiar and with a heavy burden as the archetypal variant of the licentious life. We started with a presentation of the major cultural landmarks that could contribute to the development of comedy hagiográfica and then to synthesize components of the archetypal model of the penitent sinner that underlie different realizations legendary. To carry out the investigation, thirteen comedies are selected from different authors, dated in the seventeenth century and whose protagonist is unapecadora penitent of tradition hagiográfica (Mary Magdalene, Mary Egipcíaca, Pelagia, Tais, niece Mary Abraham, Teodora and Daisy Cortona). From a sequence pecado-conversión, which singles option hagiográfica, develops comparative analysis of the legends as set in a non-dramatic, and the procedures by which became theater as molds art again. The doctrinal and theological basis that underpins all these stories did not exclude the exigencies of literary, and at the same time, the dimension of hagiography is edifying compatible with the new genetically profane art. Thus, the components of the flagship comedy take on a new treatment unpublished tune with the essence of what hagiográfico. And the principle that determines what is the constant projection transcendent of matter legendary which serves as a basis. Thus, the springs antonomásicos of dramatic action, love and honor, are converted into prefiguraciones iróncia divine love and communion of God, so that the legendary stories to be theater, must activate a loving fabric that to some extent motivates a conflict dehonor. And beyond the fable, humor and resources eminently theatrical (music and visualismo) tmabién contribute, through various procedures, to confirm the scope of the transcendent own dramatic action. THE REPRESENTATION OF THE SEA AT THE CORNICE CANTÁBRICA (1940 2005).Author: CERRA WOLLSTEIN JOSE LUIS. Year: 2006. University: OVIEDO. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE GEOGRAFIA E HISTORIA. Place of preparation: DEPARTAMENTO DE HISTORIA DEL ARTE Y MUSICOLOGA DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DE OVIEDO. Summary: This work consists of a systematic study of the importance of the sea in the painting of northern Spain in the last 70 years. This is not a generic survey, it's all about focus, not contemplating the works and authors in which the sea is a mere accompaniment, as it could be anything else, or where treatment of this kind has been casual or punctual. In other words: the sea should be the protagonist, although sometimes it is parallel or even secondary to another potential player in the same way that a picture of the landscape consists of a representation of nature with other elements, even with prominence . We can see more items, but occupy less space, have more importance initial. But the actor remains nature. After collecting painters who have addressed the issue of the navy, directly and in the figurative paintings - well proceeding of the same provinces Cantabrian either having worked with some attendance in the zone, we will make an analysis of the general construction work , and placing it in its historical context in order to establish the process of creating pictorial on this issue and in this area. To do so we must find the hay if the relationship between artists and establish possible influences, as well as find out if there is any group that you can call school, either by mentada relationship or affinity intellectual, conceptual and creative. The main obstacle to overcome is the lack of literature because, unlike in the Anglo-Saxon countries, the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany, where there is not only generic literature, but also by authors specified times or schools, For our country, the reality is very different. The bibliography is a generic low, usually referred to schools and Mediterranean as complementary exhibition. As for the specific, the better only in cases of teachers absolutely embodied.
