Summary: This dissertation investigates landscapes and architectural limits on marine and river edges, which means the interplay of actors espejan proceedings human environments of water, with particular emphasis on urban areas where the water conditional uses and determines new urban environments for recreation, enjoyment and recreation. The thesis deals with the river as a marine water-both in the cities, where their integration landscape in the urban layout as essential experience of the landscape, combining environmental, aesthetic and cultural heritage. It addresses the limits and edges of rivers historical, as is the Tiber in Rome, the Seine in Paris and rivers Liubilanica and Gradascina, Liubiliana, capital of Slovenia. The thesis investigates timely interventions on urban spaces of landscape water as small fragments embedded in large urban areas.
