Summary: In the first quarter of the twentieth century is when the system seems exhausted literary precedent. The novel experimental avant-garde Spanish reacts decisively against mimicry novelesco nineteenth century realism. So some writers decide to open other routes and include some of his works in the narrative discontinuous, introduced at the same time thinking intellectuals. In this line, we must stress to young novelists of the so-called generation of 27, prompted largely by Jose Ortega y Gasset in the collection of the Revista de Occidente "Nova novorum" and strongly linked to the vanguards. These authors when I met her splendor between 1926-1934, carrying out technical and formal changes in genus, which are in most cases metaficcionales, a phenomenon that certainly will be a feature of the postmodern era. However, it must be borne in mind that the concept of metaficción not only corresponds to the forefront or the postmodern circle, but extends to designate narratives of other periods or any work that makes itself an object of reference: Don Quixote (1605.1615), Tom Jones (1749), Tristam Shany (1768) or Jacques l'fataliste (1796), for example. In this perspective, there is no doubt that the leading Spanish narrative falls without complexes in the literary phenomenon of metaficción one hand, as a inmersióh in modernist self-awareness, and secondly, as an anticipation of the self postmodern.

Summary: Don Delillo is today one of the best American novelists considered by the criticism of their country and greater international expansion. The agreement on its quality as escritor-creciente but not unánime-no hidden however a deep disagreement over its place in the canon that has been incorporated. The increased attention to the academic work of Delillo has generated in recent years a continuing debate about its location in the context of contemporary literature, which justifies the need to revise the terms of the debate. This work stems from the need to revise the terms of the debate. This work is born dela need to respond to a question of how recurente by critics: Â Is Delillo a writer postmodernista or a pathologist from posmdernismo? It is actually to locate Delillo correctly under the American postmodernism. In recent years, critics have positions polarized between those who qualify his narrative as postmodernista either by their aesthetic horizon, either by their theoretical concerns and those perceived resistance in their texts into postmodernism as a historical and aesthetic category, displacing the aesthetic horizon toward modernism and romanticism. The confusion created by this utilización- often incosciente-de términoscomo "romantic", "modernist" or "postmodernista" justifying the need to raise a genetic location and the historical narrative Delillo to escape entanglement teminológicos raised and to be aware the difficulties inherent in the use of the term "postmodernism". To carry out this attempt to locate it is the first objective of this study. The second objective of this paper is to provide a personal reading of the work of Delillo. My bet is to present an analysis that directs our eyes to the way in which the elections aesthetic of Delillo leave traits typically associated with the American narrative postmodernista precisely to finish showing, with a precision that many have defindo as "surgery , "an analysis of the mechanisms of the contemporary world.

Therefore, the mission pirncipal of this work rside in reviewing the poetic work of Levertov from a new perspective, based on the importance of perception and physiological processes purchased for the author as an engine for creating lyrical. To do so, has been selected a large body of poetic over seventy poems. They need to address two fundamental requirements in terms of content. First, be enough, representative for his thematically oriented, so the main focus, carried out by the critics, would not be silenced. Secondly, we have a burden perceptive allowing further questions relevanes for poetic levertoviana. As to the form, has been discarded analysis of long poems for reasons of space, though contituyan excellent examples in value terms poetic and perceptive burden. The thesis consists of four areas of analysis that mainstream research. First, it deals with the study of cosmogony poetic constituting the work of Denise Levertov. Thirdly, it uses a system consisting of poetic analysis, including the different approaches critical pre based on the classification issue. Fourthly, the latest axis of poetic analysis examines the processes that transmuting real perception in the mind of the poem.

Summary: This paper addresses the original narrative by Toni Morrison from thinking not only culturalistas but especificmente literatios, particularly since the theory of literary genres and hybridization. It has studied the complex work of this author in response to the syncretism of speeches narrative that aoadyuvan in it. Taking as a theoretical model to Bakhtin has analyzed the multivocalidad and dialogismo of narrative voices that are part of the writing morrisoniana. After an exhaustive work bibliografíco, both based on the play by Morrison, as recent approaches raltivos to canon-marginalidad, within which you can register African American fiction, this study subversion that the author carries out the gender of bildunsroman and feminization The Bluest Eye, continuing the reversal of the epic narrative conducted in Song of Solomon. It also hallevado out a theoretical discourse about treatment Morrison makes the historical novel in its triología comprising Beloved, Jazz and Paradise, and which overlap concepts history, narration and neglect, and on the ability of language to conform to the historical narrative. All this highlights the amalgam and hybridization speeches narrative in the works of Morrison, which merged genres purely literatios as is the foundation of the Western genre, or narrative of ghosts, with other elements not strictly literary as orlidad or musicality.

Summary: The thesis is devoted to the critical analysis of the novels of John Marsé and therefore raises a thorough investigation not only analyzes crfticamente novels of the writer, but also seeks to explore the course of his life, in order to arrive at a precise interpretation of the elements reflected in his autobiographical novel. This is why we undertake a journey to the past of a man whose childhood was affected by the outbreak of the Civil War and whose adolescence was developed in the rubble of the postwar era. Also, as we have a work whose internal consistency makes it clear, the objective of this work is to investigate both in the work of Juan Marsé, proposing a space of understanding of the cultural dimensions, socio-political and psychological consequences of his literary production. Thus, the overall purpose and methodology of our investigation run in parallel to the course of the writer's creative writing Catalan, hence the title given to the thesis: "Trajectory world and narrative." Obviously, the closer to the writer's work requires not only a meticulous research work throughout his work, but also a study of historical and literary context, in order to highlight the real profile of his novels and to identify which aims to inform the reader. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first of these states, in general terms, the most significant features of life and the formation of literary Juan Marsé, showing a trait that had a great influence on her writing: the difficult economic situation of his family during the postwar . Obviously the plight family was the reason that forced him to work dede his thirteen years in a workshop jollería. It was precisely his life in a neighborhood worker what you have provided direct contact with the environment and people allowed to see closely the world of hampa. All this provided a wealth subcultural, gestures and ways to talk typical of the people who inhabit the suburbs, which will be reflected in some of his characters novelescos. This first-hand experience that will result in their stories is undoubtedly one of the guarantees the originality of his work. We have also included in this chapter, a section that deals with a brief overview of the English novel in the 50's when it Marsé began publishing his books. At the same, particular attention has been paid to social realism, the literary movement that was fashionable in the mid-twentieth century, because many critics then assigned his first two novels that movement. Equally, we have arrested in other literary trends that aparicieron later in the areas of literature, as the experimentalism of the 60's, the return to the narrative from 1975 and eclecticism narrative of the last decades of the last century. This projection comes to date with the aim of presenting an idea totalizadora on the various streams and exposing both their own theory on gender narrative. This paragraph seems to us extremely significant, because it serves to pereámbulo the other three chapters, which specialize in critical analysis of his novel. Its origin worker, the publisher Seix Barral, which issued its initial work and its critical stance towards society provided many critics adescripción the writer social realism. But, in reality, Marsé chose a line staff who gambled by wealth d 8 and subjects, 1696 originality of a simple writing and interest in the man to dry, with a blunt refusal to reduce exclusively to the human problems political or social. This permanent beat humanist in his writing is the propósíto he has done to pay tribute to the literary humble people, offering them a space, the space of literature, so they could speak freely. We further believe that this line has not been humanist so far suficíentemente underlined nor appreciated by scholars of literature from Marsé. And yet, is a key factor, since the humanist approach given to the issues that trafficking is closely linked both to the thematic aspects to the stylistic resources used, and why the author has been able to draw any literary trend to the service of his storytelling. The line methodology chosen for this distinguished research in the production of novel Marsé three phases, according to the specifics of his novels, in order to continue step by step progress and the influence of distntos movements literaríos in each. Thus, the second chapter in our goal has been to determine the features thematic and formal marking the beginning of Juan Marsé as novelist, from Encerrados with only one toy This side of the moon. Also, we highlight the influence of social realism in the thought marseano, both by the critical stance of the author, as a large medída, for the management of dialogue, but without fully comulgar with this stream because of their intimate approach to issues and the absence of objetivistas techniques. In the third chapter exposing how the thinking and practice of aesthetic writer in its second stage is not merely a state of transition between different realities literary, very entrenched him - novel tradícional nineteenth century, the flow of weakened social realism and the new avant-garde experimentalism trend that opened way in the 70's, síno rather an attempt to renew its realism, a place of synthesis of the fundamental characteristics of a period of very significant changes in the literary. In any case, we will try to discuss four of his most important novels: Recently afternoons with Teresa, the dark history of the premium Montse, if you say that I fell and the girl panties gold. In this second stage, Marsé not only enriches the topics discussed, with a renewal of what realistic recovers romantic elements, folletinescos and picaresque, but also on the techniques used. What it does is to combine traditional features with other innovators. Similarly, his novels are characterized by the complexity of the structures of argument; uses of prolepsis and analepsis narratives, and the combination among them producing anacronía temporary. From this stage and at the next resaltaremos dialectics class, emphasizing social markers that help distinguish a few other characters: their professions, their economic status, dress, customs, habits, geographic location their housing, hobbies, illusions on both sides, projects and the various relationships with the environment. Even so try to emphasize that no complaint Marsé their stories just classism embodied in the economic aspects, but it also extends to cultural phenomena. The fourth chapter includes analysis of five volumes represent the fullness and the consecration of literary author. The novels that fall into this last phase ranging from one day come back to Rabos of lizard. We intend to show the influence that it has left the narrative of 80 and 90 in his novels of recent years. First, cough humanistic traits existing in the various topics covered in this chapter, beginning with the deepening of his art to remember to get determining not only the author's narrative purposes through the use of this resource themes, but also to specify the different roles within the context of the same narrative. It continues to appreciate at its inception, the use of elements metaficcionales, intertextual, interior monologue, dialogue impossible, a division of the events in sequence with resonance cinematográsfica, narrative counterpoint, different temporal and spatial levels, humor, irony, sarcasm, the description their different roles: symbolic explanatory demarcativa, decorative. Finally try singling out the elemntos that distinguish the novel of this stage of the above, because the stories of this final period show that Marsé has followed very closely the decision to make Barcelona the real space and mitico their stories, and the time in the post-war historical period more representative of its entire novel. In the fifth chapter exposing the general conclusions of our investigation that respond to the initial questions of 'our assumptions and highlight not only the originality, but also the consistency of the narrative world of Juan Marsé. The final chapter is dedicated to peer-reviewed literature and cited in this research work.

Summary: The aphorism "Chaos is merely order waiting to be deciphered" quoted by José Saramago at the beginning of The Double (2004)may be said to synthesize the aim of this thesis, which is no other than an attempt to clear up the partial, divergent, and often contradictory critical interpretations of Pilgrimage and to show the novels aspiration to organic unity and coherence. The starting hypothesis is that, although Pilgrimage undoubtedly is a modernist novel, it grows out of the English novelistic tradition of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, particularly womens sentimental and gothic fiction, a fact that has not been sufficiently studied by the critics. Our critical reassessment has, therefore, taken into account both the earlier and the modernist traditions with a view to demonstrating how Pilgrimage absorbs and recasts them and incorporates innovative modernist features such as the use of myth as a structuring principle or the open-ended ending. In my approach to the novel, I argued that both the Bildungsroman and the roman fleuve, which are two of the main traditional lines of analysis of Pilgrimage, are historically bound genres and that both of them share basic traits that go back to a common archetype, that of the heros quest. Consequently, I attempted to provide a comprehensive analysis of the form and meaning of the novel with a view to establishing, firstly, the range and depth of the traditional and the modernist elements of the novel at the thematic and formal levels and, secondly, the way in which the novels mythical structure runs parallel to the physical and psychological (or spiritual) maturation of the heroine. The textual analysis (based on the theories of Gérard Genette, Dorrit Cohn and also, to a lesser degree, those of Mieke Bal, Wayne Booth and Saul Gary Morson) focused on such typically modernist narrative techniques of stream-of-consciousness novels as free indirect style, paralepses and psycho-narration, and also the transposition to fiction of cinematic techniques. The relationship between the narrative instance and the protagonist, characterized by varying degrees of ambiguity throughout Pilgrimage, evolves from distance to identification, in a movement that reflects the protagonists progressive assumption of the narrative role of her own story and her spiritual transformation into a visionary writer. The increasing drawing together of the narrative instance and the protagonist is echoed structurally by the progressive shortening of the gap between story time and narrative time from a maximum separation between them in the first instalment to their eventual identification in March Moonlight, where Miriam, now a writer, assumes at last the telling of her own story, thus effacing the voice of the narrative instance, which had been overwhelmingly present in the first instalments. Thus, Miriams evolution from purblind quester to visionary artist is carried out simultaneously at the textual and structural levels, making good the Russian Formalist contention that in literary works form and meaning are inextricably linked to each other. Finally, in the mythical analysis of Pilgrimage, I studied the novel as a manifestation of the archetype of the mythical heros quest, reaching the conclusion that, unlike that of Christian in The Pilgrims Progress, and in line with that propounded by Fox and Quakerism, Miriams journey is directed towards an inner light existing at the centre of ones own self. The mythical analysis of the novel set Miriams pilgrimage against the stages of the mythical heros quest as represented by the major arcana of the Tarot. As the representation of a system of initiation, the double-loop structure of the Tarot spread symbolizes the dual physical and spiritual sides of the quest archetype. The analysis showed Miriams initial position as that of The Fool, starting off with innocence as a banner and concluding her journey with the promise of new cycles of development after many adventures, trials and encounters with archetypal situations and figures. Thus, like many other modernist novels, Pilgrimage manages to convey a sense of human transcendence by having recourse to myth. In this way, the apparent fragmentariness 8 of Pilgr 5f7 image is brought into unity by means of repetitions throughout the novel of key images and symbols, simultaneously developed at the realistic, the psychological and the mythical levels. The use of myth as a structuring device, the intimate relationship between form and meaning and the impossibility of separating the development of the heroines actions from her psychological and spiritual development point to Pilgrimage as a modernist novel, whose significance does not lie in its capacity to imitate reality, but rather in its capacity to develop alongside the heroine, to grow with her into an art object which has the shape of Miriams created world. In this sense, Pilgrimage may rightly be said to contain the type of essential truth about the human condition that visionary writers from Plato and Dante through Blake and the romantics to the modernists had always tried to express.
