RHETORIC AND POETRY IN THE FALL OF THE MIDDLE AGES. THE HISPANIC TRADITION IN THE CLASSICAL TRADITION AND ROMANESQUEAuthor: VALERO MORENO JUAN MIGUEL. Year: 2004. In the third section explores the tradition rhetoric as a model for knowledge verbale from Plato to the Middle Ages, where evidence of the continuing debate on the scientific status and their position with regard to the arguments of 'truth' of the rhetoric. The first segment includes a section devoted to the tradition ciceroniana while core model of rationality that transcends the idea of ciceroniana 'eloquence', analyzed through its treaties, and the imprint or civilizing function of the word as rhetoric constituting the literary European civilization. Summary: This thesis is the Introductory Survey, the Critical Edition and the translation of the book Vsus et exercitatio demostrationis of Melchor de la Cerda, using working methods own classical philology. The development and the conclusions of the thesis are in the Introductory Survey. The Critical Edition done in some cases updated and improved corrects the original texts. It adds translation dela work, this is the first time it is translated into Spanish, and in fact this is the first time that our language is translated into a work of Melchor de la Cerda. The thesis is based on two assumptions. It consists firstly in the rescue and rehabilitation of the professor eloquently Melchor de la Cerda (Cifuentes, ca. 1550-Seville, 1615), which until today has allowed virtually unknown to historians of rhetoric. Summary: Boiling in the development of new technologies, marking the beginning of a digital age, is characterized by the importance of a key without which nothing of the sort had occurred: the information, which has become the basis of economic activity.
