ANALYSIS OF THE PROJECTION OF TRANSVERSE MERCATORAuthor: BERMEJO SOLERA MERCEDES. Year: 2004. University: COMPLUTENSE DE MADRID [ www.ucm.es]. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS MATEMATICAS. Place of preparation: FACULAD DE CIENCIAS MATEMÁTICAS. Summary: Transverse Mercator projection of an ellipsoid of revolution is a consistent representation of this flat surface, which is characterized by being infinitesimal scale equal to 1 on a meridian, whose image is a straight plane. Traditionally, this projection equations are represented by a series of powers of a length. This paper gives a general formula for the coefficients of this series, in terms of latitude isométrica.Se deducted alternative approaches to the developments in power series in length, allowing express equations of the projection as a disruption of spherical case, for which these are written by well-known functions. There has been a quantitative study of distortion of this projection on the Spanish peninsular component, based on the definitions of distortion of Milnor and Chebyshev.Siguiendo these criteria has been compared Transverse Mercator projection to projection Lambert and with the best projection according according Chebyshev of peninsular Spain obtained for this minimal distortion according possible associated with this region.
STRUCTURE OF CARTOGRAPHIC PRODUCTION DURING THE CIVIL WAR (1936-1939) AND ITS SUBSEQUENT IMPACT ON THE ORGANIZATION OF NATIONAL MAPPING SERVICES.Author: HERAS MOLINOS ÁNGEL E. DE LAS. Year: 2005. University: POLITÉCNICA DE MADRID [ www.upm.es]. Place of defense: ESCUELA TÉCNICA SUPERIOR DE INGENIEROS AGRÓNOMOS. Place of preparation: EPES. Summary: THESIS ON THIS IS INTENDED TO MAKE AN ANALYSIS OF THE STATE OF THE SPANISH AND MAPPING OF INSTITUTIONS CARTOGRÁFICAS EXISTING BEFORE 18 JULY 1936 AND TO BE CREARON AFTER THAT DATE FOR THE NEEDS OF THE WAR. IS MADE AN OVERVIEW OF TECHNOLOGY-RELATED IT COVERED IN THE YEARS BETWEEN 1900 AND 1939, REPORTING ON THE ACTIVITIES, REGULATORY ASPECTS OF POLICY AND THOSE CENTERS, SE DISCUSS THE CHARTS FOR THEM FORMADOS, SE DAN FIGURES ON THE PRINTING OF COPIES, FOR YEARS AND AGENCIES, ESTABLECIENDO A CORRELATION BETWEEN THE MAPS PRODUCED AND ACTIVITY IN THEATERS OF MILITARY OPERATIONS, AND IS SACAN A SERIES OF FINDINGS IN THE LIGHT OF THE RESULTS OBTAINED. FINALLY GIVEN ARE SOME DATA ON DRAFT PLAN OF THE MAPPING IN SPAIN TO BE MADE TO END THE WAR. CONTRIBUTIONS OF REMOTE SENSING IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A METHODOLOGY FOR ASSESSING THE IMPACTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE ON THE PRODUCTION OF THE FARMS.Summary: This thesis has been studied various methods for estimating early harvest of wheat. All of them have been based on the use of Tracking System Crops CGMS-WOFOST (Crop Growth Monitoring System World Food Studies) and various vegetation indices derived from images of Remote Sensing. It has developed a methodology to adjust the estimated yield of agro-meteorological model used through vegetation indices reflecting the state of the crop at the time of taking pictures. It has been proven the validity of this method through comparisons between the estimates and the actual performances known through field surveys. All estimates charter incorporated in a Geographic Information System in conjunction with the data obtained for Remote Sensing, estimates System CGMS-WOFOST and Surveys Aprovechamientos and Areas MAP. STUDY TECHNIQUES BASED ON WAVELET TRANSFORM AND OPTIMIZATION OF THEIR PARAMETERS FOR GRADING TEXTURES DIGITAL IMAGESAuthor: FERNÁNDEZ SARRÍA ALFONSO. Year: 2006. University: POLITÉCNICA DE VALENCIA [ www.upv.es]. Place of defense: Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. Place of preparation: Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. Summary: The analysis and management of the territory requiring the use of information captured by sensors or air space in the form of digital images. The characterization of items they can focus while studying the spectral information as the space, ie their shapes, sizes, distribution of gray levels, and so on. The characterization of textures is its analysis because they are indicative of the different classes or thematic covers territory. In this paper addresses texture analysis techniques to classify different types of decks of the physical environment, based on images from different sources. These images represent natural tree covered vegetable (Sierra Espadán), covers joint natural vegetation and crops (Menorca and Valle de Ayora) and agricultural areas of horticulture typology heavily antropizadas in peri-urban area of Valencia. Analysis of textures can be viewed from various angles, or statistical, structural, model-based, based on processed, and so on. Because of the good response from some statistical methods and specific features that presents the wavelet transform, it is intended to identify the traits of some textural images using the two methods. With respect to these variables have been studied by statisticians 1st order, the order of 2Â fifth of the matrix co-occurrences of gray levels and some obtained from the histogram. The wavelet transform presents a good performance in terms of space, study of the relationship, based on the mathematical functions that cut or data signals on different frequency components and studying each with a resolution set to scale. The transform is implemented by banks and high-pass filters consist of two-dimensional low-pass coefficients of the functions required to obtain the information of high and low frequencies in the image. There are several parameters that have been analyzed in this transformed, as several families and media, structures or algorithms application levels or scales decomposition, and so on. The results show that it is important to properly select the variables and parameters textural specific wavelet transform. The variables of texture from this transformed behave well on almost all surfaces. They complement to the statistics of the image panchromatic and can obtain good ratings of the different covers territory, both in urban settings such as agricultural and forestry, where it is important to distinguish between types of roofing and densities occupation. The transformed complements better statistical methods in these classes more homogeneous and less separable and creates a good fiabilidades. There have also been a series of routines designed to reduce the effect of edges of the classification that has been shown effective.
