  • BIODEMOGRAFÍA THE EBRO DELTA: MARITAL STRUCTURE.
    Author: ESPARZA PAGES MIREIA.
    Year: 2003.
    University: BARCELONA [www.ub.es].
    Place of defense: BIOLOGÍA.
Place of preparation: FACULTAD BIOLOGÍA (U.B.).
Summary: It has analyzed a study of the population of biodemográfico Deltrebre from marriage records of four of its parishes. The results show a lot of inbreeding (the largest of Catalunya) and an internal structure unique: there is a clear differentiation between populations of a bank of the river and the other, a fact that subralla the importance of this as -- not historical and geographical.
  • HABITS OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND HEALTH EDUCATION STUDENTS TECHNICAL CEFET OF PARAÍBA, BRAZIL
Author: De FigueirÒMa.do Gomes Maria Josély.
    Year: 2004.
    University: GRANADA [www.ugr.es].
Place of defense: Facultad de Actividad Física y Deportiva.
Place of preparation: Departamento de Educación Física y Deportiva y de Enfermeria.
Summary: The objective of this study is to understand the practice of physical activity and its relationship to healthy lifestyles, the characteristics of Physical Education practiced in secondary education and the proposed changes related to the health of students at the Teaching Técina of CEFET, Paraiba, Brazil. The design used is a sectional and descriptive. The survey has been used as a technique for data collection, using a self-administered questionnaire for this valid and reliable for the purpose of research. Moreover, it has used a panel discussion. There is a significant percentage of sedentary, higher in women, and alcohol abuse is higher in men. The consumption of snuff consumption is very low. In general the students were more active in MS EF, have a self-perception of the physical condition more positive and presetan highest rate of hits on the theoretical questions.
  • HISTORY OF THE STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF THE VESTIBULAR SYSTEM AND ITS DEVELOPMENT IN VERTEBRATES AND INVERTEBRATES
    Author: DUQUE PARRA JORGE EDUARDO.
    Year: 2005.
    University: PABLO DE OLAVIDE [www.upo.es].
Place of defense: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS EXPERIMENTALES.
Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS EXPERIMENTALES.
Summary: This thesis presents the historical overview of the most important events that have led to the interpretation and understanding of contemporary vestibular system, in comparison with those of our ancestors. It also presents descriptions anatomical -macroscópica and microscópica- and functional said vestibular system, in its pivotal role in the interaction with the environment. Finally, from the records that have been copied morphological regularly as fossil record, describes the evolution of the system for detecting gravitational and inertial from the origin of life on our planet, with the original living unicellular, even cordados, where there has been a relative constancy of this system in evolution.
  • SOURCE PHENOTYPE ZESTE MALES OF THE STRAIN M115 D. MELANOGASTER AND CAUSES OF ITS REVERSION: THE ELEMENT TRANSPONIBLE FB-NOF.

Summary: This paper deals with two issues related coyunturalmente: phenotype strains M115 and RM115 of Drosophila melanogaster and the element transponible FB-NOF. The strain M115 D. Melanogaster introduced phenotype zeste1 extended to males. This phenotype is characterized by yellow eyes, and although normally occurs in females since it requires the mating of two copies of the gene for white occur, it can be seen in male carriers of duplication of white. It is the known interaction zeste-white. M115 is a strain unstable and can be found revertant individuals on a regular basis. A male revertiente led to the strain RM115. This pair of strains are phenotypically similar to those described by Dr. Rasmuson-Lestander, UZ and w + w + UR. Following in the footsteps of Rasmuson-Lestander in characterizing and UZ w + w + UR, we identified the insertion of a transponible FB-NOF in our strains M115 and RM115, few kilobases to 3 'gene white. Although the insertion point is exactly the same as the strains Rasmuson-Lestander, our Southern blotting experiments show that this is different inserts, which raises if the region could be a hot spot integration to FB-NOF. In carrying the analysis one step further, we found that the strains of yellow eyes, M115 and w + UZ were carrying a duplication of the gene white, which explains the extended phenotype to the males. The reversal in RM115, on the other hand, involves the deletion of one of the two copies of the gene. Thus, we must discard the hypothesis Rasmuson-Lestander which pointed to the interference of FB-NOF the interaction zeste-white. The element transponible FB-NOF is one of the lesser known of D. Melanogaster. It gave rise to the group of transposons denominated foldback for its modular structure repetitive and unknown details of their biology. In this paper we propose an easier way of structuring element that facilitates their study, mainly from genomic sequences. In addition, we analyzed its distribution in the genome of D. Melanogaster, the relationship between the sequences in it and the expression of its coding sequence. The results of this analysis show that FB-NOF operates as a single transposón with a bias in their preferences for integration and that is still active at present.
