Summary: The behavior of the selection sport in weight lifting in the province of Granma, is a matter of great importance, bearing in mind that four decades have passed the Cuban sports movement, which has gone through several stages of form organized under scientific and methodological guidelines, which has been demonstrated through the sports scores both domestic and international, because of the need to be able to provide what accumulated in this issue, from a methodological approach of response capabilities, that account Granma Province, as are a significant number of talented athletes in the sport, indicators of teaching them, geographic data, availability of coaches and sports facilities, we considered necessary to see how are behaving different indicators the dynamics of the selection sport in lifting weights, based on the political division administrative 1976 (28 years' experience in sports participation), were taken as samples to 22 levantadores weight talents, the methodology was qualitative, a case study; in the teaching research is longitudinal panel retrospect and prospect, we made it our goal to publicize the performance indicators at different stage of development, with the intention to upgrade coaches, teachers and directors, which must transcend positively on the optimization and effectiveness of the selection process for obtaining these experiences was necessary to use scientific method, document searches, surveys, interviews and brainstorming. The study helps to enrich and substantiate the basis of the different viewpoints and approaches solid científicos-metodológicos the selection process specific weight lifting, to confront a more objective search safer from potential young talent and make more sustainable the pyramid of high performance sport Cuban.
