Summary: The fundamental objective of this thesis is to deepen the knowledge of the behavior of níspero face salinity and select the rootstock that confers increased tolerance. The achievement of this fundamental objective is accomplished through the following partial objectives:-Establish a non-destructive parameter, which serves to characterize the effect of salinity on the development of níspero, to be used in subsequent experiments to be carried out under similar conditions. - Know the behavior in saline conditions, patterns of the two most commonly used in grafting without growing níspero. Tolerance is studied as a function of vegetative development, as well as the influence of salinity has on the mineral composition and the state water. It also determines the level of antioxidant enzymes and the damage caused in the membranes by activated oxygen species. - Studying the effect caused by additional contribution of calcium and see if minimizes the adverse effect that produces salinity. - Know the effect of rootstock in response níspero face salinity. Studying its tolerance, and if any of the rootstock gives the plant a greater ability to limit the uptake and transport of toxic ions to the leaves. It also analyzes the changes that originates in the salinity and mineral composition in water relations. - Finally there is graft influence on the behavior of rootstock. These objectives are achieved through two experiments in controlled greenhouse conditions in plants two years of age, grown in pot with sand inert substrate. One pattern without grafting and the other with the same patterns studied in the previous experiment but grafted níspero the variety Algerie. The various treatments are provided in the salt dissolution nutritious to which are added various amounts of NaCl.
