There is an increase in condom use, but this has not been accompanied by other behaviors such as a delay in the onset of sexual activity or reducing the number of sexual partners. The social roles ascribed to the genders, gender inequities based on socio-cultural and economic aspects put both men and women, but especially to women, in disadvantages with respect to HIV / AIDS and STDs.
