BIOLOGY HORMOGASTER ELISAE ALVAREZ, 1977 (PROCESSES FOOD AND ESTIVACIÓN).Author: RUIZ GIL MARÍA PILAR. Year: 2003. University: COMPLUTENSE DE MADRID [ www.ucm.es]. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS BIOLÓGICAS. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE BIOLOGÍA. Summary: This memory has tried to deepen the content of some aspects of the biology of H.elisae, earthworm species of land belonging to the family Hormogastridae which is endemic in the center of the Iberian Peninsula, where they live in soil under heavy aridity and with low levels of carbon and nitrogen. This species is of great interest because it is adapted to soil and weather conditions with very limiting for the life of earthworms, and it is possible that is favored by the progress of the processes of desertification and climate change. Although these phenomena are becoming increasingly important for its progressive advance, are still limited studies on earthworms in arid Mediterranean areas or processes of desertification. For all these reasons we consider important to know in detail their biology, and in particular aspects such as their effect on the dynamics of the organic matter in soil poor in nutrients.
MITES POLLUTANTS ON CURED HAM. I DESCRIPTION OF SPECIES IN THE MEAT INDUSTRY ANDALUSIAN. II. STUDY OF THE LIFE CYCLE UNDER EXPERIMENTAL CONDITIONSAuthor: JORRIN NOVO JUAN. Year: 2004. University: CÓRDOBA [ www.uco.es]. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE VETERINARIA. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE VETERINARIA. Summary: The mites cured ham are a biological group within the family Acaridae (Acarie, Astigmata). ARE reviewed, tested and discusses some key aspects of the group: 1-species involved and their distribution. 2-Morphology (optical microscopy and scanning electron), diagnosis and variability (Barinas and multivariate analysis). 3-cultivation and maintenance of strains in the laboratory. 4-development model of stocks and life cycle depending on the environmental conditions (8-28Â ° C; 50-85% RH). 5-acaricide activity of essential oils and monterpenos. EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF THE REPRODUCTION AND GROWTH OF IBERUS GUALTIERANUS GUALTIERANUS (LINNAEUS) AND IBERUS GUALTIERANUS ALONENSIS (FERUSSAC) (GASTROPODA, HELICIDAE) UNDER LABORATORY CONDITIONSAuthor: RODRÍGUEZ PEROCHENA MARÍA ISABEL. Year: 2005. University: COMPLUTENSE DE MADRID [ www.ucm.es]. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE BIOLOGÍAS. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE BIOLOGÍA, UCM. Summary: This work on Iberus gualtieranus gualtieranus and lberus gualtieranus alonensis arises from the need to raise this animal in captivity with a mainly conservationist, as they suffered excessive catches by its relationship to food distribution in their area, and that, even have made the Spanish Society of Malacology enter the inside of the endangered species (SEM, 2002). This kind of terrestrial gastropods is endemic to the Iberian Peninsula, extending to the Mediterranean region, from Girona to Cadiz. We have managed to breed in captivity the two subspecies under review and establish its life cycle based on temperature and humidity, as a major environmental parameters handicaps, the cycles of activity and inactivity generated (hibernation and estivación) and the events linked to the reproduction (gametogenesis, ages, sizes making, incubation, hatching and mortality rate). It has also established the identity of biological forms gualtieranus and alonensis through captive breeding of individuals cigars, collected at different locations, to obtain hybrids and then crossed to establish whether this is the same biological species, leading to the conclusion that the populations of Eastern Andalusia and Murcia belong to a single species, while populations are distributed to the north of the Mediterranean region are unable to hibridar and, therefore, could be dealt with his species, or even species different morfotipo similar. Finally, it has been determined the pattern of growth of both subspecies and hybrids derived. EFFECTS DAS MIÑOCAS (CL.OLIGOCHAETA) ON A COMUNIDADE DESCOMPOÑEDORA DURING OR PROCESS VERMICOMPOSTAXEAuthor: MONROY MARTINEZ FERNANDO. Year: 2005. University: VIGO [ www.uvigo.es].
