Summary: This study comes with elobjetivo whether the results of the companies differ depending on the method of development that have been used to accumulate the stock of assets in technology. To achieve this primary goal has been raised two secondary objectives, the first of which poses a classic issue of determining the effect of the accumulation of intangible assets technology on the business results from a longitudinal perspective and dynamic. The second, introduced a more novel raises because the effect sogbre the relationship of stock assets and results exercised the choice of method development. The empirical results of the analysis show that aacumulación of intangible assets technology affects positively to business performance. Also, we obtain evidence for the existence of statistically significant differences in the performance of enterprises on the basis of which has been the method used for development that have access to the stock of assets in technology. In particular, those companies that combine development with internal and external are in a position of superiority with regard to enterprises utilizen exclusively a method of development.

Summary: Beginning in the thirties of the past century technology has been proposed as a determinant of growth and economic dynamism. From the field of technological strategy the phenomenon has been seen as a factor explaining enterprise performance. However, the theoretical arguments and empirical evidence analyzed so far do not provide conclusive results. So, we raised our model of research to advance the understanding of the relationship between the efforts in research and development, the success of technology and business efficiency. Starting d revision of the mainstream d strategic thickening, we consider the alternatives used by the company to accumulate technological knowledge (internal sources and / or external) and certain management practices of intangibles (codification and legal protection), as the result of their influence on the nature of accumulated knowledge, are crucial to the creation of sustainable competitive advantages and apropiables in technological base, and therefore of value creation. The field study was conducted in the pursuit of human health, animal health and supplies in the biotechnology sector in Spain, an industry which, for its paucity of treatment and its high technological intensity, it is very interesting. The definition of the different technological directions that can make the course of the role of research and development of enterprises as well as the best conceptualization of the complexity of knowledge have helped explain, at least partially, incosistencias observed in the previous literature. The results show that the combined use of domestic sources of knowledge and subsequent codification and improve legal protection barriers in front of the imitation and replacement of technological capabilities. The combined use of internal sources and coding streamline and make more efficient the process of technological innovation incrementally. However, any attempt towards normalizing technological knowledge has a negative impact on the achievement of radical innovations. Moreover, in the case of the biotechnology industry in Spain, the development capacity of radical innovations and incremental manner is more agile and explaining the business success that future immunity from such innovations versus imitation and replacement.

Summary: The identification of those elements that increase the capacity of innovation through knowledge from external sources (such as universities, research centers, â |) is not an easy task. There are indications that several investigations have studied some of its determinants are as a whole prior knowledge of the process (Cohen and Levinthal, 1990), the similarities in innovation policy (Lane and Lubatkin, 1998) or the capabilities of relationship (Van den Bosch Volberda and de Boer, 1999). The purpose of this research is to increase the overall determinants studied by identifying the relationships between organizational structures and construct absorption capacity. The investigation began with the compilation of the relevant studies on the identification of determinants and dimensions that have enabled represent organizational structures, as well as types and classifications of organizational structures undertaken over the past century. Subsequently, a second compilation of information on developments and the current state of construct absorptive capacity through publications remarkable. In this collection, presents various studies that address the relationship between organizational forms and construct absorptive capacity, and the results have become the foundation of this research. The realization of this study is justified primarily by a shortage of studies examining the organizational structures from the point of view of the acquisition and exploitation of knowledge outside, despite the important contribution that the study is taking its determinants (which can be considered Key to generate sustainable competitive advantages). Studies conducted recently by Lane and Lubatkin (1998) and Van den Bosch Volverda and de Boer (1999) remarcan the importance of investigating the construct absorptive capacity and its determinants, such as the organizational structure. The research aims to fill this gap by analyzing the relationship between organizational structures and construct absorption capacity in companies operating in sectors intensive investigation. This analysis can contribute to a better understanding of the impact of organizational structures on knowledge management in the Spanish organizations. To this end, it has been selected areas of pharmaceuticals and electronics (and telecommunications) field survey. To answer these questions has developed an inquiry orchestrated through a methodology based on forms / quantitative surveys and technical and multivariable. The forms (or surveys) have been used to gather information necessary to quantify the model organizational structure and absorptive capacity developed on the basis of existing literature. The technique has been used multivariate equations structural, as they allow, in addition to estimating multiple relationships, introducing concepts or latent variables (concept course and noticed that not only can be approximated through measurable or observable variables) to the analysis, while the interrelationships established Enhanced correlations used.

Summary: One of the key areas of logistics today is the integration of processes, which allows companies to gain competitive advantages, and hence the principal organizations are paying increasingly attention to these problems. There has been a growing recognition of the importance of integration, not only within the company but also at a level of the investigation. This thesis explores the problem of integrating business processes within the logistics and also with other areas of the company, from the point of view of strategic planning. The analysis covers three specific areas: transportation, inventory and customer service. The objective of this paper is to explore logistics systems that integrate different decisions in the distribution network through three studies. The first study explores three distribution strategies: the classical problem of vehicle routes "vehicle routing problem"; strategy master routing, "and the third strategy is a multi combinatorial optimization problem with two objectives: minimizing for costs, and improved customer service. A meta-heurística, Search Local Iterativa (ILS), is used to solve the model and compare strategies. The main conclusion is that the model offers several multi solutions no-dominadas that can be seen as a good balance between improve customer service and reduce transport costs. In the second study, we developed two models for an inventory system in which inventory is handled by the distributor (Vendor Inventory Systems Manager). The objective of the model is to minimize the total cost of inventory for the distributor, with multiple clients and for various periods. The inventory systems include only the cost of maintenance and breakdown of stock. And for the second model, a fixed cost for each additional delivery. An experiment in computer analyzes the impact of the characteristics of the model solutions. The results show that, by introducing a cost of delivery, the number of deliveries per period is reduced inventory costs while increasing. The impact of this kind of exchange depends on the level of demand and costs. The main conclusion of this chapter is that the model will produce an integrated decision-making process overall good. The third study, explore the coordination functions of the logistics Transportation and Inventory. The timing of these activities can be a very important source of competitive advantage in the management of the Supply Chain. This study focuses on the specific case of a problem of inventory planning and designing routes for a week, with two types of demand: stochastic and deterministic. We use a heuristic methodology, based on the ILS, to solve the problem. A numerical study examines the impact of integrating the Inventory and Transport. The main conclusion of this study is how the cost reductions could be obtained when considering the inventory and transportation in an integrated manner.

Summary: The Utility immersed in an environment of progressive liberalization of the sector, where quality is becoming a key factor for competitiveness of the company. The Quality Management implies the need for the company to meet the expectations of their customers and how to meet them. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the key processes of the companies Distributors and the Related electricity sector in Spain, identifying indicators of quality associated with internal customer expectations end of this sector. In the present study we applied the methodology of QFD to correlate customer expectations and indicators internal processes. There have been based on the results of a study on customers' expectations of Endesa, which represents approximately 40% of the electricity market in Spain and the views of ten experts from the same who have provided the basis for correlating those expectations with process indicators. The results lead to propose improvements in the basic processes. It also aims to provide a methodology for sales companies and distributors of electrical power that enables them to identify where to focus your organization and what processes, channels care or other services must act to achieve meet the expectations of their customers, in a process for continuous quality improvement.

Summary: The value that expresses Advertising in the social, economic and cultural development, making it Science is constantly demanding a precise understanding of its effects, which leads them to be able to answer any of their fields of influence, this knowledge is required begin established since natural sphere of ownership, which is the Communication Sciences. From this perspective, and without thinking seeks to establish exclusive, which claims the current Advertising is the existence of a specific model for measuring the attitude, which allows to establish two fundamental concepts, in a sense, to realize adequate levels of scalar attitude emerging from the group itself naturally, in another, to enable this group can interpret social, in turn, as a system of interdependent influences able to report that the changes would produce between their relationship and dependency systems , due to an action of marketing. Already this method confluence of several studies, is called "Method of Discrimination climb," completed with the analysis of systems of reaction occurring within the group and that have been dealt with from a notion of dependency desorganizativa or entrópico concept. Therefore, the meaning of the concept entropía, as was attempted here becomes fudamental since it is necessary to know not only the final results, but more specifically the degrees of dependency that exist between segments and attitudinal factors variability that arise through their interactions and it is these which are produced as help determine changes in the morphology attitude of the group (its system of structural units) in relation to the contents of communication to those who are exposed. The main findings of research supporting the effectiveness of the proposed approach, as well as how to deal with specific outcomes.

Summary: The Information Society (IS) and Information Technology and Communications (ICT) set a new environment that affects the development of the press, both in the social conditions of access to these technologies such as innovation and joining the same. Thus the emergence of the Internet as an emerging convergence of emerging pressured to launch an early media digital editing. They were later incoporando slowly some characteristics, which we have defined as three that characterize the Internet as a medium; hipertextualidad, interactivity and multimedia language. We analyze each particularizando in various aspects such as the difference legibiidad between the paper and the screen, the tools and functions of interactivity and integration of fixed and moving images in the multimedia language. In addition, some sites have tried to move from the model for free access to the payment, but the results are not encouraging, therefore favor the mixed model (which combines with other free content or premium payment, either with or without registration). So we determine that despite the variations and nuances, all existing models can be grouped as we propose in the three cited: free, pay and mixed. We analyze the advertising market, describing Web formats, and making other considerations on the hearing of digital media. Also vislumbramos that weblogs can be another manifestation of interactive tools to integrate more than a phenomenon that opaque to the digital diaries. Finally we look at different positions around the digital journalist or media, distinguishing the multi journalist who tries to use in some companies informative violates product quality newspaper. Mainly concluded that one of the first and main avenues for the future of a company press is publishing a daily digital as a means of ensuring their survival and growth in the Information Society.

Summary: It is a doctoral thesis which proves the hypothesis put forward in its early pages, consisting of the obvious and effective influence of the various literary genres in the early years of broadcasting in Spain, an issue crucial to the medium had the success in its implementation. The literature, as an expression of human culture, part of the radio since the inauguration of the regular emissions in our country. This is a job where research is carried out a detailed study of literary programming of the three first years of Spanish Broadcasting, based largely on official bodies of distitntas stations exist at the time studied, magazines or newspapers, that they realized content, schedules and other matters related to the emerging medium. This study is divided into five chapters which, after a careful review of the social and political time Spain who lived in those years, it traces the emergence of stations in the country, explores the different literary genres that are tailored to the airwaves, his style and implementation, as well as interpreters and most prominent authors. He then describes the main problems they had to face the media in its relationship with the literary content for broadcast over the airwaves. In the fourth and fifth chapters are studied poetry and prose respectively emitadas during 1924 to 1926 and divided into genres that are presented. It lists all and each of the spaces literary those years. Finally presents a complete sample of the literature done for and on the radio, plus a compendium legislative concierniente the subject tratdo. All this leads to culminate in the demonstration of the assumptions described above in the form of conclusions, based on sixteen points that describe in a concrete manner the final outcome of this work.

Summary: It is fact that the newspaper Levante-EMV experienced a significant increase in distribution in the market in Valencia between 1984 and 2000. The main argument raised as initial assumption that the growth in the dissemination of the newspaper, which led him to be leader of the daily newspapers in the region, has been due primarily to the launch between 1987 and 1998 in a series of seven editions county in the province of Valencia and an eighth for the province of Castellon. We studied the market for Spanish daily newspaper by Autonomous Region between 1980 and 2000 in the case of the three provinces of Valencia and between 1990 and 2000 for the rest of the sixteen communities. The purpose was to ascertain the circumstances under which the newspapers in competition in their markets took advantage of the zoning of the product in the period analyzed, and under what conditions the development of such a policy was possible. The editions zonificadas is a marketing tool for information they can use only those seats that are produced in provinces headers or region where there is a greater preponderance economic and administrative, regardless of whether the region has an index of dissemination of newspapers more or less on the national average. Then it was found that in the region of Valencia will be discussed at length the conditions specified to offer users editions zonificadas. We analyzed one by one each of the editions in a number of important aspects: content development, in subsegmentos territorial expansion and deployment of the necessary technical means. It was found that the newspaper embarked on a policy of consolidation of the zonal editions, developing successive improvements over time. The reactors header editions felt that was the only tool competitive with the press in Madrid, which began before and a policy of regional editions. The idea of Levante-EMV was to arrive editions counties and proncias where to headers d eMadrid was more difficult to penetrate. The performance of zonal editions edit was generally positive on the whole for Levante-EMV, although some of the zonificaciones achieved modest goals.
