THE STRATEGY FUNCTIONAL PRODUCTION, A PROPOSAL FOR GENERIC CONFIGURATIONS IN SPANISH INDUSTRY.Author: DÍAZ GARRIDO ELOÍSA. Year: 2003. University: REY JUAN CARLOS [ www.urjc.es]. Place of defense: CIENCIAS JURÍDICAS Y SOCIALES. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE CC JURÍDICAS Y SOCIALES (UNIVERSIDAD REY JUAN CARLOS). Summary: In any industrial undertaking approximately 80% of the assets are invested in the production and about 75% of employees are developing their work on tasks related to this role. It was in the year 1969 when it begins to speak of its strategic importance thanks to the work of Skinner, who proposed the concept of manufacturing strategy. Since then the production function ceased to be considered a limited role and neutral terms going to become competitive in a functional area discussed in the discipline of Oragnización Company. So this work focuses on the production of functional strategy, but while many studies have examined the content and the process itself is rather weak theoretical and empirical evidence that has dealt with the development of generic configurations as it is not identified a clasificaicón of production strategies generally accepted by the scientific community and by managers being much more pronounced this deficiency for the Spanish case. Thus, the purpose of this research is to identify what strategies generic production followed by industrial firms. In order to answer this question have been raised the following specific objectives: first, to develop a framework of analysis for the study of the manufacturing strategy in industrial companies, and secondly, to identify the types of strategies that production can be implemented in a sample of such companies, analyzing the most significant differences between production strategies to achieve identify not only in relation to other variables other than those used as screening criteria, but also in relation to variable results.
A NEW MANAGEMENT MODEL COSTS TO MOVE TOWARDS LEAN PRODUCTION.Author: RUIZ DE ARBULO LÓPEZ PATXI. Year: 2004. University: PAÍS VASCO [ www.ehu.es]. Place of defense: ESCUELA SUPERIOR. Place of preparation: ESCUELA SUPERIOR DE INGENIERÍA DE BILBAO. Summary: The adoption of lean production practices or read have become widespread in many industries since the early 90's. Companies are demanding cost methods which reflect the changes introduced by manufacturing systems adjusted. Therefore, the question that arises is how many years cost system used in a lean manufacturing environment. The investigations carried out concluded that the cost of traditional systems conflict with the methods of lean production. Consequently, we need a new approach cost to adapt to changes in lean production. This thesis has developed a new model of cost management which is intended to serve as a helping companies who want to move towards lean production or read. Finally, to complete the research has validated the model of cost management that will help companies move towards lean production. MODEL FOR THE DETERMINATION OF END-OF-LIFE STRATEGY OF GOODS WITHIN THE DESIGN APPROACH TO THE ENVIRONMENT.Author: GONZÁLEZ TORRE BEATRIZ ALMUDENA. Year: 2004. University: OVIEDO [ www.uniovi.es]. Place of defense: ESCUELA POLITÉCNICA SUPERIOR DE INGENÍERÍA DE GIJÓN. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE CC. ECONÓMICAS Y EMPRESARIALES OVIEDO. Summary: Although years ago, both from the point of view as strategic operational for businesses was somewhat irrelevant what to do with the re waste of their products and packaging, today no product or service can be devised without predict what will be done with their waste at the end of his life. And not only because the regulations increasingly stringent in developed countries, but also by the green image that customers are demanding, and even by the business opportunities that often come hand in hand with the reuse of materials and components . As part of the whole process that comes called Reverse Logistics (Reverse Logistic in English), one of the most significant aspects to ensure proper functioning of recovery of materials or products at the end of their useful life is related to product design , so that the operations to be realizárseles to extract value or dispose of them in an efficient as simple as possible. In this type of practice, increasingly widespread in the management of new products is that they are often called "Design for Environment Fear," and is an integral part of a management based on sustainable development. This thesis is intended to address, from an approach of Engineering Organization, operational solutions for one of the most important decisions in the design of recovery systems materials. Specifically, it will explore and define a new model for allocating End of Life products to market, so they take the most efficient way possible the economic potential of waste and minimizes the burden polluting the environment. New alternatives will be analyzed to study the impact on the way new design proposals for Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), will develop new algorithms disassembly of products at the end of his life, and modelizará decision of what is the best option for each components based on a bottom-up analysis of the list of materials (BOM) of the products. THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN LARGE CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS.Author: ROSA GIL ANTONIO. Year: 2004. University: MÁLAGA [ www.uma.es]. Summary: This research work examines the effectiveness of the figure of Project Management as a key element necessary for the planning, control and management of large construction projects. The work is divided into five chapters: the first one is developed which currently accounts for the project and the process of the great works proyectual constructive. The second chapter deals with the figure of Project Management with all its history until today. In the third chapter then goes on to justify the need to achieve greater efficiency in their work developing all the characteristics of what must be a multi-disciplinary organization. In the fourth chapter elaborates on the development of a detailed manual for their specific management procedures for the development of a constructive great project. From this overview fifth chapter is devoted to analyzing the problems that may raise this figure management and control with the other agent involved in coming to the end of the thesis on his findings to define an unequivocal advantage of their recruitment and mometo suitable for incorporation in such large construction projects to achieve maximum optimization of the final results, with the consequence of a clear benefit to the investor as a customer or developer in this uncertain and complex sector.
THE TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT, ENVIRONMENT AND THE PREVENTION OF OCCUPATIONAL RISK FACTORS IN THE ORGANIZATION, CURRENT STATUS AND APPROXIMATE PRACTICE.Author: MELLADO ROMERA DOLORES MARIA. Year: 2004. University: CÓRDOBA [ www.uco.es]. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE EMPRESARIALES. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE EMPRESARIALES.. Summary: The objective of this report focuses on the creation of a model for the development of a sisitema integrated management of quality, environment and prevention of occupational hazards in the organizations. An integrated management system enables the achievement of a series of ventajeas such ocmo avoid unnecessary duplication of documentation or improving the image of the company. In general, integration of management systems will mean a optimazación in the use of resources and simplification of work procedures, in the case thus a good indicator of efficiency in the management of the organization. All the more specific objectives are summarized in the following points. - Study the principles of management that is based on developing an integrated management system. - Pressentar proposals (rules, guidelines, guidelines, etc.) plus interest, both nationally and internationally, have emerged in recent years on integrating management systems. - Know the current status of the integration of the systems of quality management and / or environmental and / or prevention of occupational hazards in the Andalusian companies, through a survey. - Know the key characteristics of a company with significant influence on the development of an integrated management system. - Studying corporate social responsibility, for its importance as another aspect to manage within the integrated management system. THE CHANGE IN AGRICULTURAL GLOBALIZATION. REGIONALIZATION OF MUNICIPALITIES BONAERENSESAuthor: COSTAS ANA MARIA TERESA. Year: 2004. University: POLITÉCNICA DE VALENCIA [ www.upv.es]. Place of defense: Dep. Organizacion Empresas.. Place of preparation: Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. Summary: Many scholars have tackled the agricultural reality the controversial topic of globalization. Today they agree that the business of producers in Argentina has received the impact of deregulation and the opening of markets. However, in the country there is little empirical research on the topic. This work has studied as a special case, the area of agricultural production in the province of Buenos Aires, from the start of economic deregulation to a situation in which the process of globalization were much more consolidated. The multivariate analysis methodology allowed the regionalization of the municipalities according to the changes made between the beginning ( 1988) and final (2002's intercensal period. Were defined particularities of the various agricultural landscapes that have been forming in the territory through the development of two types that allow comparisons between regions. characterized the first three groups have increased land use, differing by: (1) "Enhancing the cultivation of cereals," (2) "Invariance forage crop" and (3) "Boosting soybean crop." The second was based on variations socio-empresariales. Referring to the legal form of organization, forms management, land concentration, form of land tenure, job stability and migration. also generated three types that are classified as: (1) "Expansion territorial permanence of owners," (2) "Territorial Expansion of tenants" and (3) "Territorial Expansion and insecure tenure." Both types were independent possibly because the first refers to the use of the resource allocation of land likely to change in the short term, while the second highlights more stable changes in regional businesses and its way of collecting productive resources. seem After deregulation there is one way for the production of commodities. "That marked the difference was the intensity of the change is adopted. THE STRATEGIC DIVERSIFICATION OF THE TOURIST BUSINESS: AN APPROXIMATION FROM THE THEORY OF RESOURCES AND CAPABILITIES.Author: ANDREU GUERRERO ROSARIO. Year: 2004. University: ALICANTE [ www.ua.es]. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS ECONÓMICAS Y EMPRESARIALES. Place of preparation: CIENCIAS ECONÓMICAS Y EMPRESARIALES. Summary: The diversification strategies have been some of the topics that have received more attention in the literature on the strategic direction of the company. In particular, the different ways they can take and their influence on the scope or success of competitive advantage, have been the subject was an extensive investigation. In recent years, the divesificación business is receiving special interest from the Theory of Resources and Capabilities, which is why we decided to emphasize his study since this vision of the company. Growth is something natural and necessary for the survival of businesses. But the characteristics of the current competitive environments (rapid changes, the greatest uncertainty, the largest number of competitors?) Mean that companies have more difficulty in ensuring that level of growth required. In certain specific environments the ability to continue to grow through the same areas producto-mercado can be especially defícil so that businesses operating in them may lean towards growth strategies involving start business in a different business, toward strategies divesificación. In this context, it becomes important the study of the workings of the diversification strategies, motives, advantages and disadvantages as well as the fundamental changes that this decision may mean for the company. Moreover, it is clear the importance of the tourism sector in the Spanish economy and the enormous benefits it can have for certain companies diversify their tourist activity toward other actividads as a form of comprensar seasonality to be emfrentan. In this regard, we think it is incredibly important and novel study the issue of diversification in the case of the tourism sector, where in addition, there are fewer jobs centered in the field of corporate strategy for the company. QUALITY AND INDICATORS. A CONTRIBUTION TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF INDICATOR SYSTEMSAuthor: HERAS FORCADA MIGUEL ANGEL. Year: 2004. University: RAMÓN LLULL [ www.url.edu]. Place of defense: ESCUELA SUPERIOR DE ADMINISTRACIÓN Y DIRECCIÓN DE EMPRESAS ESADE. Place of preparation: ESCUELA SUPERIOR DE ADMINISTRACIÓN Y DIRECCIÓN DE ESCUELAS ESADE.
Summary: The objectives of the research was to explore whether there is a relationship between the concepts of quality and indicators to analyze how systems are indicators used by companies that have introduced quality systems, deepen the ideal characteristics that should collect pictures of command these organizations and make an additional contribution to the system models and existing indicators. Based on the review of the literature and quality indicators made on the basis of research questions were raised various scenarios whose level of support was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Among the major contributions of the investigation highlights evidence of the link between quality and indicators since the origins of both concepts, a relationship that has grown and strengthened with their evolution towards quality systems and systems of indicators. The recommendation to companies to avoid blur and the dispersion of resources that exist in companies when they develop various projects. Likewise, based on the analysis of the results of qualitative research, have been raised fifteen builder that are presented as requirements that should satisfy a system of indicators ideal. In this regard, one of the major achievements has been the identification of models EFQM Excellence and the Balanced Scorecard Kaplan and Norton as the highest level of achievement. Moreover, it has highlighted their complementary nature, and have been found lacking in both regarding the deployment of strategic operational indicators s and the relationship between them. To help organizations overcome these shortcomings finally have been formulated and developed the recommendations "Linking the strategic indicators to map processes" and "Deployment of strategic operational indicators using the hierarchy of processes." The implementation of these proposals will enable companies to simultaneously implement systems approach indicators and processes, key elements of its value creation for the various stakeholders. STAKEHOLDERS, ENVIRONMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT OF THE COMPANY MODERATING ENVIRONMENT ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE INTEGRATION OF STAKEHOLDERS AND ENVIRONMENTAL STRATEGIES.Author: RUEDA MANZANARES ANTONIO. Year: 2004. University: GRANADA [ www.ugr.es]. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS ECONÓMICAS Y EMPRESARIALES. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS ECONÓMICAS Y EMPRESARIALES.. Summary: In this paper we propose to address the issue of the relationship between the environment and business strategy taking into account the increased attention that companies provide to their Stakeholders in environmental issues has influenced companies conduciéndolas to more proactive environmental strategies. We also include in our analysis the characteristics of the overall environment of the company (uncertainty, complexity and munificencia) to reflect how they can influence the development of a proactive environmental strategy. Among the conclusions that esetrateron our empirical work, conducted on a sample of 134 stations Ski stress. 1. Among the benefits that the implementation of this approach environmentally poractivo poses to companies is that it is linked to the aparación a valuable dynamic capacities. Its dynamic nature allows the company to respond to changes in their environment. 2. Through greater attention to environmental concerns of its stakeholders, companies have shifted from reactive approaches to environmental positions proactive in which the company voluntarily prevents its environmental impact and makes an effort significario to anticipate their responsibilities. This integration capacity of stakeholders generally viewed as positive from a moral point of view by queiene value these approaches from a moral point of view by queine value these planteaminetos from an ethical standpoint, but asu time can also be a source of advantage sustainable competitive for the company that puts into practice. 3. There is a defect moderator of the complexity in the relationship between the ability to integrate genetic stakehlders and environmental strategy proactiv in the company. So, high levels of complexity for the company will find it more difficult to transform capadida integration of its stakeholders in a proactive environmental strategy. 4. Uncertainty periibida by you does not exercise leadership moderating effect on the linear relationship between the ability to integrate genetic stakehjolders and estratefia environmental company for the study sample. However, it affects positively and significantly on the proactive environmental management of the company. In other words, greater uncertainty perceived environment makes businesses tend to develop models of environmental management more proactive. 5. The complexity and significantly negative influence on the proactive environmental management of the company. In other words, enhanced complejiddad perceived environment reduces the likelihood that companies tend to develop models of environmental management more proactive. This result supports and complements the conclusions reached by previous studies in which it has been shown as when complexity is high, managers tend to make minor adjustments (Smart and Vertinsky, 1984) and find it difficult to identify key strategic factors (Amit and Schoemaker, 1993) or generate and utilize resources and capabilities complex (Black and Boal 1994) THE OUTSOURCING OF LOGISTICS ACTIVITY OF THE COMPANY. AN ANALYSIS OF CASES.Author: NUÑEZ CARBALLOSA ANA. Year: 2005. University: BARCELONA [ www.ub.es]. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS ECONÓMICAS Y EMPRESARIALES. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS ECONÓMICAS Y EMPRESARIALES. Summary: The outsourcing of logistics services is part of the general trend to outsource different types of activities in the value chain of the company, beyond the purely peripheral as in the past. The need for greater flexibility on the part of enterprises or the globalization of markets, among others, involve the requirement to provide services of high professionalism, often beyond the reach of the organization itself. In recent years there has been so widespread throughout Spain to a substantial increase in logistics market, with a higher proportion of this growth for the outsourcing of such activities, which demonstrated the dynamism of this option. The countries with a lower degree of maturity of this strategy, which include Spain, which are higher expectations presented. This research aims to analyze what are the basic principal motivations that lead companies to outsource their business logistics and what kind of relationship forged with the providers of those services, which has conducted a qualitative research, applying the method in the case. EMBEDDED SYSTEMS QUALITY, PREVENTION AND THE ENVIRONMENT IN A SHIPYARD TYPE MEDIUM / SMALL SHIPBUILDINGAuthor: De Vicente Aldecoa Juan Jorge. Year: 2005. University: A CORUÑA [ www.udc.es]. Place of defense: Escuela Universitaria Politécnica. Place of preparation: Escuela Universitaria Politécnica.
Summary: The thesis is based on the study and application of integrated systems of quality management, prevention of occupational hazards and environment, small and medium-sized shipyards. In the actual situation of the implementation of these systems, offers solutions for improvement in the overall management of the company and highlights the competitive advantages of the application and implementation within the system of corporate governance, given the demands on these matters are asking shipowners national and international. PROPOSAL FOR AN INFORMATION SYSTEM TO AID DECISION-MAKING IN PLANIFIACIÓN HIERARCHICAL PRODUCTIONAuthor: BOZA GARCÍA ANDRÉS. Year: 2005. University: POLITÉCNICA DE VALENCIA [ www.upv.es]. Place of defense: UNIVERSIDAD POLITÉCNICA DE VALENCIA. Place of preparation: UNIVERSIDAD POLITÉCNICA DE VALENCIA. Summary: The decisions that are taken every day in organizations are very different nature. In the area of production of enterprises, systems production planning help those responsible for this area in its decision-making. Planning Hierarchical of Production examines the decisions taken in the planning systems of production, from the perspective of the hierarchy of the organization. Decisions decompose along the hierarchy, so that they appear different decisions at each level of hierarchy information with the working every level of decision is also different levels of decision-making in excess aggregate information and working with the lower levels of decision with detailed information. Thus, the decisions made at the highest levels of decision imposing restrictions on the lower levels of decision-making. The Information System, which supports the information necessary for managers to take its decision, it becomes a key element in the decision-making process. In this sense, the system of aid to decision making (DSS-Decisión Support Systems) become useful tools, not only to obtain an optimal solution, but mainly to get a broad and deep vision of the problem. This argument is raised in order to make contributions in the field of Hierarchical Planning Mass Production of the aspects that relate to the Information System. To achieve this aim, it has been reviewed literature on the Production Planning hierarchy analysis focusing on the Information System partner, and after such an analysis is carried out a proposed Information System Support for Decision Making in planning for Hierarchical Production. The elements comprising the proposal are: an Architecture for Systems Support Decision-Making in Hierarchical of Production Planning, and a methodology for Engineering and Operation Systems Planning Hierarchical of Production where appear so explicit items Information System involved. The proposal for Architecture Systems Support Decision-Making in Hierarchical of Production Planning, and a methodology for Engineering and Operation Systems Planning Hierarchical of Production where appear so explicit elements of the information system involved. The proposal for Architecture Systems Support Decision-Making in the Production Planning Hierarchical described by the Unified Modeling Language (UML), and is based on the early stages of the Unified Process Software Development. The architecture provides a level of abstraction enough to be used as a starting point in the analysis and development of Applications Support Decision-Making in the Production Planning Hierarchical. To include explicit, the elements of architecture in the process of definition and operation of the hierarchy of decision, it is proposed to the Methodology for Systems Engineering and Operation Planning of Hierarchical Production, which are considered aspects of the System Information included in the architecture. The methodology is divided into two parts, one part engineering, which is defined in full hierarchy. Yu 8 na according 45f gives part of the operation which defines operational resolution and analysis of results. To validate the architecture and proposed methodology, we have implemented an application software helps decision-making for hierarchical planning of production, called DSS for PJP, which complies with the requirements listed in the architecture and the functional aspects of the methodology. SCHEDULING OPERATIONS WITH SETUP TIME-DEPENDENT SEQUENCE. APPLICATION TO THE METALWORKING INDUSTRYAuthor: D'ARMAS REGNAULT MAYRA JOSE. Year: 2005. University: POLITÉCNICA DE CATALUÑA [ www.upc.edu]. Place of defense: AULA 28.8 DE L'ETSEIB. Place of preparation: ETSEIB, EDIFICI H Campus SUD. Summary: The production management is a potential source of competitive advantage for companies. Therefore, the optimization of the management system of production must be raised as a strategy that can be used to cope with the constant changes in the environment and to remain on the market. The production management can be significantly improved by applying efficient methodologies for planning and scheduling production. Despite its importance, the current practice of scheduling production does not meet the requirement of reducing competitive and meet customer delivery times, due to the fact that most of the problems in the scheduling of production are computationally intractable in terms of an optimal solution, frequently rules apply direct sequencing. This topic has been investigated over time, but its complex nature makes many of the investigations simplify the problem, assuming the absence of various types of operations that require the preparation of the machines and processes. This thesis is part of the problem of scheduling production. It has addressed the problem of scheduling operations in an environment of a machine, with families of products, setup time dependent on the sequence and dates of expiry of the orders, and has been directed specifically to the area of metalworking Bolivar State, Venezuela by representing one of the sectors that provide more value-added growth in the state. Have been evaluated through computer evidence, the behavior to solve the problem of strategies for sequencing SST-EDD, EDD, CR1 and CR2, the heuristic algorithm optimization Local Comprehensive of Descent and Descent of Comprehensive Algorithm not, and the metaheurísticas Search Taboo, Recocido Simulated, Genetic Algorithm and GRASP. The algorithms have been coded in Visual Basic and were tested initially in a series of 1000 copies with a number of families between 4-6 and with a number of pieces between 15â25 Laboratory of Industrial Organization of the Organization Department of Business the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Finally, we have implemented and evaluated the heuristic raised in a metalworking industry Venezuelan dedicated to the manufacture of steel products. The computational results showed that the strategy of sequencing index Critic Weighted CR2 is the Sum more advisable, however, the implementation of better initial solution does not guarantee a better result after the upturn locally. In addition, it has been shown that the procedure based on Taboo Search can provide good solutions to the specific problem studied, as a goal when considering the backlog total setup time-dependent sequence, and it is not advisable to use Recocido Simulated Genetic Algorithm and in the industrial environment studied. The results also suggest that Heurística Optimization Local EDA and metaheurística GRASP may have an advantage over the search for Taboo problems with a lot of orders, because they need less time to find a good solution. The research presented in this thesis can be taken as a basis for possible extensions designed to consider other variations of the problem studied by incorporating elements that sometimes appear in certain real industrial environments. IMPLEMENTATION OF THE BENCHMARKING TECHNIQUES FOR IMPROVING THE MANAGEMENT OF INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISESAuthor: RIO NAVARRO JESÚS DEL. Year: 2005. University: PAÍS VASCO [ www.ehu.es]. Place of defense: ESCUELA TECNICA SUPERIOR DE INGENIERIA DE BILBAO. Place of preparation: E.T.S. DE INGENIERÍA DE BILBAO. Summary: The aim of the thesis is to develop a model that helps companies to decide what actions to improve or reengineering undertake to improve management and achieve their business goals. The method chosen is the benchmarking management. " The "benchmark", referring to imitate, is the way in managing companies "Excellent". The model is based on frame the activities of a manufacturing company within eight major "Process". Each "Process" is divided into "threads", for a total of 42. The model serves as a guide for companies to autoevalúen and compare their way to manage the businesses of "Excellent". Thus it is noted that in areas of corporate governance is further from the same, likewise the rest of industry, competition, different flat of a multinational, or companies that publish their results with the same model. Analysis of the results, the start of improvement or re-engineering projects in the areas that most interest because it is better or worse than the competition and see their development over the next 3-5 years, when rerun self. PROGRAMMING MULTI A PRODUCTION SYSTEM WITH NO WAITING AND FLOW STATIONS IN PARALLEL. APPLICATION TO AN ICE CREAM FACTORYAuthor: RIBAS VILA INMACULADA. Year: 2006. DESIGN OF A SCALE TO ANALYZE THE QUALITY OF SERVICE PROVIDED BY BANKS.Author: FLÓREZ ROMERO MARCELA LEONOR. Year: 2006. University: LEÓN [ www.unileon.es]. Place of defense: FAC.DE CIEN. ECON.Y EMPRESARIALES. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS ECONÓMICAS Y EMPRESARIALES. Summary: The objective of the research was to identify the factors that determine the quality of service received by customers of the banks, which are characterized by rapid changes suffer in their environment. A factor analysis of main components, we found that the factors influencing the quality aspect (i) Operating (operations and conventional services performed and gives the entity), (ii) physical appearance (physical structure, internal environment, placement resources, etc.), new technologies (Internet, telephone banking, and so on.) (iv) human aspect (attitudes and ways of acting staff). The first hypothesis of the model aims to explore the relationship of each of these factors to the quality of service. The second scenario looking verify that the quality of service is a record of customer satisfaction. And a third hypothesis attempts to verify that customer satisfaction has influence over his loyalty to the institution. Once the reliability and validity of the scale, was to verify the three hypotheses of the investigation through three different techniques: Regresiones (i), (ii) Structural Equations using models based Covarianzas through AMOS, (iii) Structural Equations by Partial Least Squares, through PLS (Partial Least Square). The results of both regressions and techniques Structural Equations are very similar, getting in the Structural Equations rates adjustment almost perfect. They show a great influence on the operational aspects of the quality of service of banks, as well as checking the quality and background of satisfaction, and the verification of the influence of satisfaction in customer loyalty. Also new relationships were obtained not silver at the beginning of the investigation. Where operational aspects, in addition to influence heavily on the quality of service, are also closely related to the satisfaction and customer loyalty. It also found a significant relationship between the human aspect and customer satisfaction, reflecting a good treatment for some staff, which produces customer satisfaction. CONSIDERATION OF RANDOM POINTS IN THE PLANIFICAICON TIME WORKING DAY ANNUALIZEDAuthor: MUÑOZ GOMEZ NORBERTO. Year: 2006. University: POLITÉCNICA DE CATALUÑA [ www.upc.edu]. Place of defense: Aula 28.8, ETSEIB. CAMPUS SUD. Place of preparation: ETSEIB, Edifici H PLANTA 11 SD. Summary: Annualized hours is a way to irregularly distribute, through a yearly period, a certain number of working hours (established by a contract). Due to the flexibility gained by applying annualized hours, the company has the opportunity of schedule the work time in a more efficient way. With this new possibilities in work time management arise new problems of work time planning, schedule programming and task assignment. The work time planning problem, with annualized hours, consist in setting, for the whole year, the weekly working hours that each worker must perform. This thesis complements the research in work time planning with annualized hours developed by PhDs: Amaia Lusa, Rafael Pastor and Albert Corominas. On this authorâs research some of the annualization problem are treated. Specifically, the work time planning problem is tackled establishing effective procedures to solve several types of problems in this field. This thesis takes into consideration uncertainty sources, or stochastic aspects, that were not analyzed previously and that, if are not considered, can invalidate results of work time planning. This aspects are: ⢠Irregularities, in time service as in instantaneous demand needs: A simulation-queuing theory based method is developed to calculate needed capacity in each time period, thus the instantaneous demand is satisfied with a service level very close to the desired one. ⢠Absenteeism, as a productive capacity lacking factor: Absenteeism causes are analyzed with the purpose of establish a representative model of this factor. This model can be based on individual or team probabilities of absence, and increases the needed capacity to work planning. This way, the possible drawbacks in planned capacity derived from absenteeism are drastically reduced. ⢠Future demand uncertainty: Demand is usually considered as a stochastic factor, because it depends on several parameters that are difficult to predict. In order to reduce the risk of planning a capacity based on a yearly demand scenario and that the real demand behaves in a very different way to the expected, with drawbacks this implies, a multietapic stochastic scenario based method is presented. The validity of methods and tools developed is demonstrated via a computational experience. Results of this experience are presented in this thesis. APPLICATION PRACTICE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TO THE RESOLUTION OF THE PROBLEM OF STOCK SPECULATIONAuthor: GARRIDO ARIAS ALEJANDRO. Year: 2006. University: OVIEDO [ www.uniovi.es]. Place of defense: ESCUELA POLITCNICA DE INGENIERA DE GIJON. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS ECONOMICAS Y EMPRESARIALES DE OVIEDO. Summary: The problem of stock speculation has always been the subject of analysis since most economical approaches (Basic Analysis) and pure bag (Technical Analysis). This second point of view is aligned from the analysis of indicators and the various waveforms of the price and volume. In this thesis aims to expand this second approach by analyzing the time series in the price and volume since Artificial Intelligence. Thus, proposed various approaches to the problem of speculating on the stock market in search of profitability using Artificial Intelligence techniques. The technical proposals are Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks and Genetic Algorithms. DESIGNING A MANAGEMENT MODEL OF THE SUPPLY CHAIN FOR COMPANIES WITH INVERSE PYRAMID SHOPPING: AN IMPLEMENTATION IN THE FIELD OF TANNINGAuthor: ROMA VILANOVA ANNA MARIA. Year: 2006. University: BARCELONA [ www.ub.es]. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE ECONOMICAS. Place of preparation: UNIVERSIDAD DE BARCELONA. Summary: This research aims to publicize a typology business whose differentiated feature is the inverse pyramid shopping. The inverse pyramid configured as a result of the outcome of classified material mixed in more homogeneous subsets. In each purchase / obtain the dominant element is the uncertainty about the quantity of units purchased with different characteristics, which configures a stochastic inventory. These peculiarities are turning away from the relationship between --- it purchased, and obtained the required facilities to be introduced in the theory of operations and in the case of material with inverse pyramid shopping is not possible inventory management from a -- security, but require a model to achieve a balance input. A PROPOSED METHODOLOGY FOR MEASURING CUSTOMER VALUE IN UNCERTAINTYAuthor: ORTIGOSA HERNÁNDEZ MAURICIO. Year: 2006. University: BARCELONA [ www.ub.es].
