Summary: In all three passengers, the fire is a very important risk factor for the lives of passengers. As a result of fire on passenger trains in recent years about 1500 people died, most of the dead were passengers on board the train. Currently the rules of fire safety in passenger trains are equipped with several test methods on a small scale for the analysis of the fire behavior of materials, however, are inadequate and in many cases obsolete, as it does not properly represent the physical phenomenon of the fire and were not designed to collect particular fire behavior of the new types of building materials. Therefore, several studies comparing the test results of small-scale fire tests in front of a large scale, have been showing very low correlations in the basic criteria for flammability and spread. Project thesis analyzes, from the use of numeric models fire conditions critical to the safety of occupants of passenger trains in the event of fire in passenger trains (flashover), studying the effect of different parameters growth in the fire in the passenger rail vehicles (condicones temperature and concentrations of species) to quantify levels of security. The results provide technical elements for proper selection of materials (representing the actual conditions of the fire and conditions of end-use of materials) and enable assessment of the capacity and effectiveness of the use of speed Heat Transfer (Heat Release Rate - HRR), and Computational Modeling and Simulation Fire to predict the evolution and behavior of fire in passenger trains.

Summary: The main objective of this thesis is to develop advanced models for simulating the dynamic railway, which in turn allow more in-depth understanding of the complex phenomena that occur when a vehicle runs on the rail route. In addition, since the contact rueda-carril is the most relevant features and more difficult to implement, it is also intended to develop and include in the previous models, a new form of contact that provides advantages over existing. In this paper, the equations are derived from the movement of rail vehicle in general, valid for both movement as straight and curved sections for the transition. Using dynamic models developed, it has conducted a comprehensive study comparing different configurations bogey, identifying the most appropriate depending on the traffic conditions are provided at the tour. The models presented are strongly nonlinear, and solve the problem of contact between the wheel and the rail in 3-D, thus enabling the detection of contact points away from the vertical section diameter of the wheel. This introduces a substantial advantage from the model developed in this study compared to the existing ones, in relation to the simulation of tight corners, where the effect is more important. In this sense, it presents a new model of contact elastic multi-punto in 3-D, which allows a precise address situations of dual point of contact during registration at very closed curves. In this paper have also conducted studies on the stability of railway vehicles. We present some results obtained with critical speeds and linear models with nonlinear models, comparing and linking them to the level of wear of the wheels.
  • SPAIN AND RAIL SOURCES OF INFORMATION.
    Author: TORIBIO GONZÁLEZ GEMA.
    Year: 2006.

Summary: The doctoral thesis develops a code library of over 1500 references on the railway in Spain, since its origin, in the mid nineteenth, and by creating Renfe in 1941, and published during that period of time. To get those references, it has analyzed the information contained in the libraries and documentation centers, especially Madrid, as the center of business and government decision. These records covering all aspects of railway operations: political, technical, economic, social, artistic, literary .. Each bibliographic reference, as described with the standard UNE 50-104, corresponding to the ISO 690-1987, includes a descriptive summary of contents of the work analyzed, keywords and topographical subjects of the intelligence units are located where the work. The portfolio is completed with indices author, title and subject. The thesis also includes several annexes relevant to the subject of investigation as well as a glossary of terms rail, and finally, a bibliography of items documentaries and railways. KEYWORDS: documentation, literature, applied linguistics, rail, Spain.

Summary: In this thesis presents a numerical model to lapredicción of vibrations induced in the soil and enestructuras close to the road for the passage of trains altavelocidad.Los problems dynamic interaction vehículo-vía yvía-suelo-estructura have been decoupled. First, it haresuelto the equation of motion to get the cargatransmitida by train to the ground through the traviesas.Después has introduced such a force on the ground, and haestudiado propagation in soil through laformulación method the elements of shape, elcomportamiento dynamic superstructures using the finite element method. All this has been integrated into a únicomodelo representing rigorously interaction dinámicasuelo-estructura.A Unlike most of the models proposed in laliteratura to characterize the vibration caused by eltráfico rail formulated in the frequency domain ynúmero waveform, therefore, based on the idea that lageometría soil, road and nearby structures semantiene uniform in the longitudinal direction of the road, lametodología dimensional developed in this thesis permiteobtener the solution to problems including inclusions in elterreno works drainage, or lower steps tunnels. In addition, elmodelo proposed permits discretization real problem, porlo that the geometry of the road, the effects of ballast and otrosefectos premises can be considered a modopreciso.El model developed has been validated experimentally compared vibration levels obtained numerically in sleepers , endistintos points in the soil and in the support lacatenaria with those recorded during testing homologacióndel first tranche of the high-speed line Córdoba-Málaga, ycon other experimental results in the literatura.Los results of this validation have shown that the modelonumérico accurately describe the physical phenomenon studied, yque produces results with an acceptable level of accuracy.
