Summary: The EU has since the 70's of last century close trading relationships with several countries in the Mediterranean (PTM). The final step in these relationships are the Euro-Mediterranean Association Agreements, a prelude to the achievement of a Euro-Mediterranean Free Trade Area. In the field of agriculture, the agreements do not reflect the full liberalization of agri-food trade between the two sides, but they pose conditions of market access to the trading partner better than those of third countries or MFN. Generally these trade preferences are an improvement in the competitive position of countries receiving preferences in the market of donor country, and the main task of this thesis is to investigate whether indicators to measure such preferences are set out in the framework of preferences included in the Euro-Mediterranean Agreements. To that end, it shows what forms adopt such preferences when the EU attaches to MSPs. After summarizing the arguments for and against RIAs and how they are regulated within the World Trade Organization (WTO). Following are some methods of estimation ex ante and ex post the impact of trade preferences and, above all, show the indicators based on trade flows that are specific to treat preferences from a static point of view. From a dynamic viewpoint, some recent developments combining numerical simulation models with static indicators for assessing preference erosion. After studying these methodologies, concludes that there are four possibilities for improvement in accordance with features of trade preferences or methods studied.
