Summary: THIS IS A THESIS DOCTORAL STUDIES ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP HOTELERO CROSS DE MALLORCA, A MIDDLE WAY BETWEEN THE SOCIOLOGY, HISTORY AND CONTEMPORARY POLITICAL SCIENCE, BUT THE PROSPECTS FOR POLITICAL AND HISTORICAL SOCIOLOGY ARE PREDOMINANTES. ALL THAT IS TREATED FOR CARRY OUT WITH A LOOK SOCIOLÓGICA COMPRENSIVA, ENTENDIDA AS AN ATTEMPT OF UNDERSTANDING, SINCE THE OPTICAL OF ANOTHER, THE PHENOMENA AND FACTS ESTUDIADOS. Summary: The interpretation of the drug phenomenon in today's societies should be undertaken from the three vertices of a triangle: drugs, subjects and contexts, in other words from a bio-psico-social model of drug use. However, this paper focuses on the so-called "drug problem" from a social perspective, without underestimating the importance of the other two vertexes our reading part of the interpretation of drug use as a social fact. The first chapter of the thesis deals with the historical point, which is necessary to contextualize the current consumption of drugs. In this sense, the drug has been known since the Antigà ¼ age and all human societies and organizations have operated with varying degrees of success consumption within ritual elements, medical or religious grounds. However, the meanings that drugs have taken over from history have been changing and the social discourse that has accompanied it has varied in parallel. In a historic moment particular to the early twentieth century, and in a specific place in the world, the United States, the phenomenon of drug abuse has become a social problem. From that moment on the approach from substance began a period of study and control under a variety of disciplines and ideological important, in some cases contradictory. The second chapter conducts a review of developments so far has been experiencing addictions. The change in the social meaning of drugs discurrió parallel to the expansion of the methods used to measure knowledge of the phenomena and social issues. Therefore, the madida of drug use started changing an evolutionary process. Initially addressed from a slope sanitarista to be completed later from a vision jurídico of drugs and pass today, a multidisciplinary approach. However, the latter approach has not been fully developed, leaving the vision of fenómemo of drugs under the umbrella of those two disciplines, which are essential but not unique. The third chapter illustrates the difficulties that the measurement of drug raises. The fenómemo of drugs as a social part of a multitude of issues to be addressed and aprehenderse if one wants to measure its length in today's society. The methodological difficulties since Collisions qualitative and cuatitativos forcing consider complementary with each other. The fourth chapter takes a look arrested on indicators that have been used to explain drug use. It systematised all possible indicators to develop the possibilities and limitations of each. This measure is determined by the vision of drug abuse as a health problem or legal. Thus most of the indicators are developed based on this perspective that it is culturally and conforms to the little model of drug use today, which use -lúdico and festivo- and whose substances and tracks consumer -estimulantes by nasal orally or carry far fewer health consequences that a few years ago. The fifth chapter, develops the potential of the empirical school surveys to give an overview of the drug. They apply advanced multivariate statistical techniques to develop a model for interpretation of drug use among teenagers today. The thesis concludes with a summary conclusive which exposes the personal view of the author.
