  • CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTION.

    Summary: This thesis is conducting a study of CO with great depth and abarcándola in all its manifestations, from objection to military service, through medical objection, objection to the tax, among others. Make a historical analysis and conceptual, and the differentiation with a series of related figures such as insubordination or civil disobedience. A special section is devoted to the issue of conscientious objection and ideological freedom distinguishing two alternative pathways through which articulates the right of objection. Also an analysis is made of comparative law, which puts the figure in respect of conscientious objection in the Spanish legal system with objections in other countries, notably Brazil our country of origin. Finally, an attempt is made to justify both positively and suprapositiva this peculiar form of disobeying the law. The study ends with a series of conclusions and a comprehensive literature on the subject.

The state and their governments have the obligation to promote social change that promotes the development of societies more just, inclusive at all levels and related statements of the Culture of Peace by UNESCO formally proposed for more than a decade.
