TRAJECTORIES REPRODUCTIVE IN THE CONTEXT OF THE FERTILITY TRANSITION. STUDY THE HISTORY OF CONTRACEPTIVES AND MARITAL COLOMBIAN WOMEN.Summary: To assess the fertility transition in Colombia and Bogota analyzes the last five national surveys fertility, and are reconstructed trends and differences and differential fertility, nupcialiad and contraception. In addition, it analyzes the trajectories contraceptive three cohorts of women living in Bogota, who lived her fertile periods at different times of the transition process in fertility. Results indicate that compared to the whole country in the past 50 years Bogota has experienced a process of transition from early fertility contributed towards stability, and that within this relative stability of the whole population, the process of very heterogeneous because different social groups have different reproductive behavior. From biographical analysis identified groups with behavior prototype: Women with poor social conditions and low education workers, who reach parity with intermediate intensive use of contraceptives after the third fertile period, when usually has reached the final size family. Reproductive Behavior of the groups themselves who lead the fertility transition, with modern patterns of marriage and contraception and living in relatively favorable social conditions. Groups transition processes in the late-dominated traditional patterns of marriage and fertility, low contraceptive use, and have poor living conditions. The influence of demographic context in which it takes the life histories of these women helps to explain the heterogeneity of the transition processes observed.
