BIOETHICS AND PLURALISM: THE SOCRATIC METHOD IN THE TRADITION OF NELSON AND LEONARD GUSTAV HECKMANN IN MEDICINE.Author: DORDONI PAOLO. Year: 2004. Their frame of reference is bioethics, understood as a peculiar pluralist revolution. Instead, their implementation is the context of medicine, a place particularly suited to propose some dialogues. Three routes are being carried out: one historical, philosophical another and the third most-type teaching. With the first, provides an analysis of the present state of medicine. It highlights two constellations problems: the instance of open dialogue and the recovery of prudential know in medicine. In this first part, belongs the distinction between pluralism "dynamic" and "static", and clarifying the meaning of "ethical practice" in medicine. Given that both the prudence and open dialogue requires "knowledge of not knowing Socratic", the second schedule of dye more philosophical, focuses on him. Having pointed the sense of knowledge of not knowing in Socrates and now, it is considered that "know of not knowing" inside the process of open dialogue and reasonable. The third pathway points to a pattern of this peculiar practice of not knowing: the Socratic method in Nelson and Heckmann. There are indications necessary for understanding historical, philosophical and pedagótica and suggests some practical socráticas, in the middle of medicine, playing some problems highlighted in the initial diagnosis of them. This reference allows us to explain the peculiarities of the Socratic method as the relationship between pluralism and open dialogue, our hypothesis of departure. The work ends wondering what the Socratic dialogue, we can say with respect to the question of departure, pluralism and respect to our initial diagnosis, the instance of open dialogue and prudential know in medicine.

Its basic assumption of the job is just to see if it is possible and fruitful systematic application of this methodology. After theoretically substantiate the education model being proposed, describes the planning work as well as a series of practical moral education, designed by the author, with dilemmas that have mounted from the activity of the media. He then gives an account of the field work with a moral practices with students and draws a number of conclusions from this.
