  • THE ROLE OF PHILOSOPHY IN THE ANALYSIS OF THE LITERARY CANON: GYÒRGY LUKÀCS.

    Summary: This research philosophy is structured into three main sections. In the first, "Proposals for the development of a Marxist literary canon," explores Lukács's position in the debate on the interpretation of the writings of Marx and Engels on art and literature and presents and discusses the ideas of philosopher Hungarian on the historical novel, the realism of the nineteenth century (Balzac, Zola, Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Gottfried Keller, Dickens, etc.). literature and the twentieth century (vanguardismo, critical realism and socialist realism). In the second, "ontological Delimitation of the literary work," explores how Lukács understand the relationship between literature and other areas of social being and knowledge as everyday life, science, the region and ethics. It is also studying how to address problems such as the durability and beauty or revocation of literary works. It also outlines his thoughts on the literary genres: relationships between literature and cinema and main differences between epic and drama. The third considers the presence of thinking Lukács in the debate in recent decades has occurred in the United States on the literary canon.     Summary: The philosophical work of Professor Alfonso Lopez Quintás has, within its broad range of issues, a primary objective: the model of critical thinking that has dominated Objectivist knowledge along Western Modernity and the proposal for an alternative which is capable to do justice to the richness of the real. In doing so, this thinker emparenta with some of the most significant philosophical movements of the twentieth century, especially the personalism as Gabriel Marcel and thinking existential Jaspers and Heidegger. This dissertation takes the invitation is clear from the work of Professor to extend their thinking to all aspects of thinking. In particular, attention is given to the music, an area that for the same Lopez Quintás represents, as art in general, one of the major occasions for the development of the human spirit. The first part is devoted to understanding the philosophy of Lopez Quintás in dialogue with the movements mentioned above, both in its critical stage against Objectivist scheme as in providing positive alternatives for the ontology and epistemology.     Summary: The musical production philosophical TW Adorno allowed to perceive the significance of the emergence of Expressionism in the musical fabric.     Summary: This Doctoral Thesis combines three concepts in relation to advertising activity: typography popular art and urban space. These three factors come together in the commercial labels of local commerce that are displayed along our streets. We advocate the knowledge and appreciation of some parts landscape that transcend its advertising function and, as an expression of popular culture and a reflection of our collective history, play an instrumental in the creation of a sense of place. Given the lack of graphics files documentary on the commercial signs we mark a first objective inventory of the various options that, as of 2005, are displayed in the streets of Bilbao. The field contains more than 7000 photographs.
