Summary: We used the test of micronuclei in human lymphocytes irradiated and blocked with citochalasina B (blocking citocinético) to determine the chromosomal damage induced by gamma radiation and assess the effect genoprotector of various antioxidant substances when they are in the middle before before irradiation and when given immediately after dela exposure to ionizing radiation. The substances tested are different types of flavonoids (diosmine, routine, quercetin, eriodictiol, citrus extract, P-90, GSE-Iy GSE-PS) DITERPENOS (camosol and acid camósico), vitamin C, hidroxitirosol acid rosmarínico and DMSO, various concentrations according to their own characteristics and values of protection obtained. They are characterized by their antioxidant capacity. The results show a significant degree of protection that could be expressed as follows: Procianidinas = Diterpenos = Catecol-fenoles = = Flavonoides glycosylated Ascorbic Acid. In conclusion, although procianidinas (flavonas-3-ols) have demonstrated the highest degree of protection for all flavonoids tested, there is no single specific chemical structure related activity antigenotóxica. The antioxidant capacity determines the degree of protection in the administration preirradiación. The lipid solubility of the substances has provided increased capacity for protection when given immediately after exposure to ionizing radiation.
