Summary: This work aims to raise awareness of the life and work of Elia Maria Gonzalez Alvarez and López-Chicheri, "Lilí Alvarez" (1905-1998), a pioneer athlete but also a prolific writer. Summary: The Labor investigates the contributions of the greatest humanist Dominican Pedro Henríquez Ureña, in the Mexican education during the period 1906-1924. Start with a brief analysis of the social and political situation in Mexico in the first decade of the twentieth century. Subsequently focuses on student life of that character, as it passes through the National School of Law at the National University of Mexico, a student and professor at the same time. The third chapter highlights the work teaching at some institutions during the revolutionary government of Francisco I. Madero (1911-1913) and Alvaro Obregon (1921-1924). Following studies the permanence of Henríquez Ureña in the United States and Spain, countries key to the formation of the concept of hispanidad in its trajectory and its cultural ties with Mexico.
