The study has revealed several lines of transmission and dissemination of the work, which is particularly noteworthy that the relationship would translations Occitan, French and Latin, probably driven by the Lulio.Esta finding has recommended the development of a critical apparatus plurilingà ¼ e, which, while it has been an indispensable tool in establishing the critical edition of the book, gives an account of the trends and affinities between the various testimonies. ORIGINS AND DEVELOPMENT OF WORSHIP AQUILES IN ANTIQUITY: COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF SOURCES.Author: OLLER GUZMÁN MARTA. Year: 2004. University: AUTÓNOMA DE BARCELONA [ www.uab.es]. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE FILOSOFÍA Y LETRAS. Place of preparation: ESCUELA DE POSTGRADO. Summary: This Doctoral Thesis is aimed at carrying out a thorough body of sources on the cult of Achilles and his subsequent analysis, in order to try to establish what was the origin and dissemination of this cult in Antigà ¼ age. This is well reflected in the very structure of work, which clearly distinguishes the first part, devoted to the presentation of texts and a second part, where you can find a critical study of the same. The organization of the sources has been made from a geographic criterion that at first glance reveals that the cult was present in most of the Greek geography, both in mainland Greece, Asia Minor and the Aegean Islands, as in colonial territories as Magna Greece, Sicily, and the Black Sea. The dating of the testimony presents a great variability, which covers from the early indications on the tomb of Achilles in the Tróade, documented in Homer, until votive inscriptions of judges olbiopolitas dated between I and III century AD This chronological and geographical dispersion moving one of the conclusions of the thesis: namely, the inability to combine all the cultural events in honor of Pelida in a single historical process. However, sources suggest chronologies allow for the establishment of worship in one place or another, as well as identifying cultural models that can be closely linked to some specific geographic areas, or on the contrary, be shared by all of them. The study of genetic texts leads the author to propose the tomb of Achilles in the Tróade as one of the first centers cultuales dedicated to the veneration of the hero aqueo. The importance of this enclave since ancient times, could explain the presence of the veneration of Pelida in other locations minorasiáticas, aprticularmente within jonio, but also in towns of Caria, and Licia Pisidia. It is very likely that the cult was imported by colons jonios from shore minorasiática to the northern Black Sea coast, where he is documetnado from the sixth century BC to AD III, without interruption. Along with the testimony of Asia Minor and the Black Sea, are also particlarmente interesting reference to the cult of Achilles in Laconia, or passage, and late, Zósimo on laintroducción of worship in Athens. Also, we might add casso of Thessaly, Epirus, or Elis Crotone, among others, illustrating the extraordinary diffusion that reached cult of Achilles in the Antigà ¼ age for over a thousand years of experience. CRITICAL ISSUEAuthor: FERNÁNDEZ SANZ DOMINGO. Year: 2004. University: SEVILLA [ www.us.es]. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE FILOLOGÍA. Place of preparation: FACUTLAD DE FILOLOGÍA - UNIVERSIDAD DE SEVILLA. Summary: The thesis has been highly critical in the Asian edition, the work geographic wrote Aeneas Silvio Piccolomini, Pope Pius II in 1461, the first conducted with modern standards. The text with a corresponding critical apparatus and sources is preceded by an introduction, close to the peer-reviewed literature, my version of the Latin text into Spanish and, as an appendix, an index of personal names and geographical locations mentioned. The introduction begins with a brief overview of the life of Pope Pius II, with an outline of the political and historical context that explains the composition of Asia and the data provided by the most recent literature. Here are the characteristics of his geographical and historical. Basically a departure from previous compilations by using Estrabón authorities as Ptolemy and his idealization of the past and classical conception of history, very influenced by the concept of decline of empires and individuals. The process then goes on to explore in more detail the work since its gestation until the profound explanation of the motivations for membership: a new attempt to reflect on the crisis in the Christian West. Read the section on the profound study the sources used, very important because it seeks to show that Asia is mainly an example of the tremendous intellectual stature of Pius II. It also identifies the most thorough possible sources that Piccolomini used in Asia, and attempts to explain the reasons that led him to use them in different chapters, and thus demonstrating their work conscious, to weave an intricate plot authorities tried to unify into a single style. I have also directed my attention toward transformative different mechanisms of the authorities consulted, as well as to discover that manuscripts used. In the section entitled "Notabilia" pick up the numerous references to the physical geography, flora and fauna that dot the text and that clearly illustrate the insatiable curiosity of Pius II, being clear his special interest in human geography and ethnographic. Under "Aphorisms political and moral" is attempting to classify their contributions more personal which put clear its fascinating personality. The segment devoted to the publication and transmission of handwritten text is the central part of the thesis. First described manuscripts colacionados, a total of 10, and the exemplary incunable consulted and scored himself Christopher Columbus and is preserved in the Library Colombian Seville. Finally, the study of the text closes with the criteria spelling and translation, in addition, the peer-reviewed literature. Then comes the editing of the text, accompanied immediately below the apparatus and critical sources. In relation to the fonts provides interesting data from the use of two large Roman historians, Titlo Livio and Tacitus, as well as historians minors, as Eutropio, Esparciano or Vopisco. The issue is a critical apparatus Editio with a shortened and conservative, as it seeks to be faithful to what the manuscripts and the text of Christopher Columbus. As for the names deformed by the continuing work of copy shown the right way to all of them in the critical apparatus, seeking, in the case of names from Greek sources, trasncribirlos faithfully, and even include their problems handwritten transmission. The translation is based on the critical edition accompanied by some explanatory notes on certain passages, especially when the manuscript tradition has ensured the name of a place or a person, or what I saw when necessary. To help readers I have included the usual rates, a name of another place and personal names and villages where, in addition, the principal variants handwritten sign and, in some cases, the correct transcript Latino names in Greek . All of which I have served to lighten the critical apparatus. POESIES OF MARIES TOWERS, EDICIÓ CRITICISM.Author: PRATS RIPOLL M. MARGARIDA. Year: 2005. University: BARCELONA [ www.ub.es]. Summary: In this paper, based on the reconstruction Michelena postulated for the Basque Old trying to rebuild the old system phonological this same language but for a time prior to that reconstructs Michelena and that we can call Proto-Vasco Old. To do so, we draw on the progress Joseba Lakarra has made in recent years about both morfonológico as etymological analysis of the ancient roots disilábicas of Basque. On the one hand, we acknowledge that these roots disilábicas were in a bygone era structures perifrásticas composed of two different roots. For another, we believe that this analysis léxico - semántico has important consequences on the ground phonological that can help us shed light on the earliest stages. The thesis presents the work of Etxeberri Sara as one project, which includes work in prose (mainly Escuararen hatsapenac, testing bilingà ¼ and, in Latin and in the Basque language, in two columns), Latin grammar and dictionary cuatrilingà ¼ and (language Basque, Latin, Spanish, French) disappeared today, serving three objectives: to provide vascoparlantes early S. XVIII tools that facilitate access to different languages, writing promote the use of the Basque language and demonstrate that the Basque language is not inferior to other languages. A MYRIAD IMPRESSIONS: FILM ADAPTATIONS OF THE NOVELS OF VIRGINIA WOOLFAuthor: PÉREZ PICO SUSANA. Year: 2005. University: VIGO [ www.uvigo.es]. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE FILOLOGÍA Y TRADUCCIÓN. Place of preparation: UNIVERSIDAD DE VIGO. Summary: The first part of the thesis comprises a tour of the theoretical issues, and historical criticism concerning the concept of 'film adaptation. It includes several sections devoted the theoretical study of the translation of novels to the movies, emphasizing the obstacles that conventionally been considered insurmountable. Finally, it presents a methodology own analysis, based on systems analysis of narratology film, such as the concept of 'meganarrador' or 'narrrador cinematic' and multicodicidad that determines the enunciation film opposite the unicodicidad of literary enunciation. Also included questions of motivation, intertexualidad and reception when necessary. In the second part of the work applies this methodology to the study of film adaptations of novels based on Virginia Woolf: Orlando (Sally Potter. 1993) and Mrs. Dalloway (Marleen Gorris 1997). To conclude the comprehensive textual analysis of the two novels and two films states that the four narratives works are self-sufficient, with its own aesthetic and ideological. It has been concluded that the comparison between two works selected novel and film adapted origin, is a critical exercise productive both for the study of film, their sources, ideological and aesthetic intentions, as for the study of the novel his force in a historic moment that is not the place, and the revisions that have transformed the hands of screenwriters and directors and then the spectators. Following an analysis of the substrate historical, sociological and cultural cemented its existence, we enter the nature of the "Hedge schools," noting that were known by various names in both English and Irish and were highly heterogeneous: from those limited to provide basic education to those subjects included higher education in their curriculum. Subsequently its future structure into three stages that marked and identified. The first, from 1695 to 1782, was a stage of hiding so that classes often take place outdoors and in remote locations, hence the name with which they were familiar: literally "Schools hedge." The second stage begins with the Act Gardiner in 1782 that allowed the establishment of Catholic schools and would extend until the Catholic Emancipation achieved in 1829, with which the Catholic population recovered their civil rights. Despite being within the law, the state does not fund, which would mean a grievance regarding comparative schools societies biblical Protestants, who received financial aid from the government. This was not preclude the Hedge schools blossom supported by the population more humble. The third and final stage would cover from 1929 until the late nineteenth century. Its slow decline was marked by two events: on the one hand, the creation of the National Schools system in 1831, with which the state intended to provide free primary education officer to the lower classes, on the other hand, the shortage situation in the that was the population following the Great Famine of 1845-49. Finally, we collect those artistic performances that illustrate and reinforce the essence of the schools and / or their teachers. Our approach is anthology of various kinds and includes various literary genres -poesía, drama, story, etc. as well as documents graphics and music, both contemporary schools and post them, indicating their strong power of evocation in the collective subconscious . We try to see what were the stereotypes created by these artistic images, and to what extent correspond with the reality of Hedge schools. MANUSCRIPTS H (VATICANUS PALATINUS GR 260) F (LAURENTIANUS 86.8) IN THE HISTORY OF ANIMALS.Author: GONZÁLEZ SUÁREZ MANUEL. Year: 2006. University: OVIEDO [ www.uniovi.es]. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE FILOLOGÍA. Place of preparation: DEPARTAMENTO DE FILOLOGIA CLASICA Y ROMANICA (FACULTAD DE FILOLOGIA). Summary: This thesis of 435 pages, begins by presenting a brief overview of the mss.y the existing editions of History of Animals (NA) of Claudius Aelianus. It is after a more detailed description of the codices HyF, and then, and is the main focus of work, offers the collation of these two more, which contain 17 books NA, in the case of ms. H complex, and in the case of F, with the omission of some chapters and management with a fully peculari and different from other mss., Having been drafted by topic. Both mss., HyF have been read and collation entirety for the first time, really hard work and meritorious given the difficulties inherent in the reading .. mss, particularly in the case of ms.F in the typeface used. Also in this ms. F identifies the chapters that make up the various thematic areas where the copyist is organized with the corresponding appearing on the other mss., And follow the order originated. In total we have collected a s11.000 alternatives with respect to the latest edition of the book, by R. Hercher (Leipzing, 1864). These alternatives are presented sorted by books and chapters along with the text of the indices of the chapters in each liter. There is then a particular study and deeper variants of the books I, II, XI and XIII, which will be analyzed and classified according to their nature (variants aureales or visual, morphological, omissions, additions, changes of command, etc.). and according to their appearance in the mss. more important Aelian (H variants exclusive, exclusive F.compartidas by HF, shared with the mss VAv, shared with mss.de branch b (LPA), and so on.) offer, accompanied by some very clear graphics, statistics with the results of the study of these books. As a general conclusion, apart from reflecting have already collected variants HyF in terms of a new critical edition of NA, the data confirm and prove kinship between HyF as suggested by De Stefani ( 1902) as well as such two mss. (HF) with the mss, branch b, and more particularly within it with ms. Q. It was confirmed however, at least so clear, the alleged contamination of HyF with mss. VAv. Given the very large number of variants collected is manifiestala need for a new critical edition of the book that goes beyond the shortcomings of the ed.de R. Hercher (Leipzig, 1864). |
