Summary: The thesis deals with the first study in the abstract concepts of the project and work through engineering tools of classical philosophy, carrying out its logical analysis and espistemológico. It draws on ethics and other values commonly accepted to complete the notes and defining characteristics of the concepts studied. It also deals with the study of semantic and use of these conventional terms, expanded open with the main concepts related studies such as engineering, planning, design, etc.. Once this study is a reading of the history, politics, social development and public administration in the nineteenth century linking with the development of engineering works and the training of engineers. The reading concludes with a comparison of the state of Spain early and late nineteenth century. One third of the thesis traces the background in the history of the planning of the works and the formal structure of the engineering projects. All of this leads to the development of a survey that was deducted two sets of conclusions. One that establishes or synthesized, or was conducted and represented engineering and its legacy. Another, in which applying critical thinking, determines the successes and mistakes in the historical period analyzed. The thesis includes five appendices. Three of them ordered the information obtained concerning administrative arrangements, literature and related thesis. Two other appendices refer to supplementary information that has emerged over dele study on the history of the foundation and early development of the schools of engineering, and civil engineering works in the nineteenth century of military engineers, the the civil engineering is heir.

Summary: With this Doctoral Thesis is intended to bring to light, the primary role that the SA Factory San Gonzalo de Linares has had on the socio-economic development of the region, and for that reason, it becomes necessary to rescue the memory of past work, their material culture and ultimately, the traces of work, ie all those historical data such as technical data and productive in each of the periods in which there were changes in the factory, the patent used in the production process, as well as the collection of artwork based mainly on photographs and floor plans, as well as its distribution periods. The targets individuals who seek this Doctoral Thesis: Study and systematize the bibliographic information about the factory and on the discipline of industrial archeology. Preparation of a photographic inventory of process diagrams, drawings and writings by the same times and its contents. - Completing the field work, data capture necessary space industry. - A collection of the privileges of invention and patents related to the manufacture of lead and aluminum and its comparison with the patent taken at the factory. - Conducting studies on industrial archeology applied to the views of the property, economic, process, and productive living and working spaces, giving a historical overview of the factory at times. - Treatment of computer graphics information available and obtaining a virtual recreation New Information Technologies, obtaining in this way a virtual sweep of the same factory, in their different eras. - Making a recovery proposal for new uses for industrial space. Considerations-critical technological solutions adopted within their environment and cultural coeval. In the first chapter, entitled BACKGROUND, is a first introduction justification for the choice of subject matter covered by this Doctoral Thesis, in the study of technological industrial heritage under the discipline of Industrial Archeology, indicating the justification for being framed in a line of priority within the scientific and technological offer from the University of Jaen. It also makes a justification for the study of the Industrial Heritage, from the standpoint of engineering. In the second chapter, METHODOLOGY INVESTIGADORA, justifies why the choice of Factory SA San Gonzalo. The field work has been based on the recovery of memory work, which is a compilation of interviews with people who have worked and worked, as well as written documentation refers to events and experiences of everyday life in outer space industrial. As for the material culture data has been collected property (scriptures), graphic documentation (photographs, diagrams and maps process). It also has conducted a review of all the technological contributions of Spanish origin, through the study of patents for inventions registered and privileges in relation to lead and aluminum, presenting both patents apply in the factory. Subsequently addresses a third chapter devoted exclusively to HISTORICAL EVENTS, which examines the history of mining in the province of Jaen, and the history of the events to mark the site of the S. A. San Gonzalo de Linares, resorting to documentation time as the newspaper ECO MINING of 1883 and 1884 as well as a record of 1872. The fourth chapter, titled HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE FACTORY SA SAN GONZALO describes how was the birth of the same factory, since that small lead smelter, which in the year 1886, began its journey and was located on the side of an olive grove at the back of the Chapel of Our Lady Linarejos, until actualid 8 ad. It a29 examines the industrialization process in seven periods, analyzing developments from all points of view, namely: historical, sociological, technological, engineering and from the standpoint of the social construction of the workspaces. The fifth section presents the PROPOSALS FOR RECOVERY OF INDUSTRIAL SPACE where, in addition to justify the importance of this recovery, there is a virtual recreation of how it has evolved the building industry for over a hundred years of history, based on the current FLASH techniques to show the graphic content of the information available, thus making it possible to observe the historical evolution. It also performs a proposed itinerary for the facilities of the Figueroa family in Linares, where he was actively involved in mining activities and business of the late nineteenth century and early XX in that locality. It also makes an offer within the ships that still exist in the plant, consisting of two centers Interpretation Factory SA San Gonzalo, suggesting the division into two areas: one dedicated to the Interpretation Center of Metalworkers of aluminum, and one converted into Interpretation Center Auxiliary Workshops. CONCLUSIONS In the last chapter, gives individuals and the general conclusions as a result of development of the earlier chapters to stop commenting on possible future developments related to the recovery of industrial heritage for the industrial and mining city of Linares. Summary: INTRODUCTION: The field of port engineering landmark, is one of the lesser-care knowledge of the antigà ¼ age. In this field of knowledge I have devoted much of the past few years, along with close associates and colleagues, to try to fill that vacuum engineering and history has. It is true that many, especially across our borders, that are dedicated to this wonderful world of knowledge and know scrutinize women and men who have preceded us in time and put the seed of wisdom, and now forgotten in time. But the means by which this work moves; knowledge of the techniques and methods constructive from the point of view of an engineer, are not very frequent. Escudriñar in the art of constructive ancient ports and maritime signals is very complex and difficult, especially the lack of data, and in particular the more goes into the distance of history. But these difficulties are compounded when it comes to knowing the signaling systems in the antigà ¼ age, as there are no comprehensive studies, systematic, and monographs on the subject, reaching some authors to deny its existence. This difficulty is due study, apart from the disbelief of those who should seek their remains, that these were based navigation systems, in general and structures that could calificárselas of fragile and scattered, which have either been removed or have been reused or time has been commissioned to make them disappear. This is a challenge that must be addressed, not leaving the memories of past technical unfortunate reconstructions of lighthouses as those made of the Tower of Hercules. GOALS UNDER maritime engineering, which was developed in the antigà ¼ age responds to two different aspects and conjugates: structure as maritime ports and lighthouses and maritime signals systems as a navigation aid. And sometimes their tracks have disappeared under the infrastructure that have been developed over history, and the low value that they gave for lack of knowledge. The objective, therefore, of this work is to bring awareness of current knowledge engineer who was an engineer in the antigà ¼ age, how resolved the problems and what level of expertise achieved in the field of maritime signaling systems and structures which borne, and thus better evaluate our heritage technical, port and maritime signaling For this you know, as fully as possible what was the technique that was used at that time, what was the level of development that was achieved in this field port. And closely linked to that is archeology in environmental management as manifested in the archaeological exploration and restoration of the lighthouse of Corunna, or Tower of Hercules, conducted by the Directorate General of Costs in 1992. Therefore, in order to achieve with this study is to have an understanding of how the signaling systems were in the antigà ¼ Western classical age, which was their development, evolution and operation. It has applied the sources of knowledge from which has been prepared and concatenarlas with constituents to find out the purpose Suposición à à Scenario thesis SUMMARY OF THE THESIS: Formal development of the thesis is structured among large sections: The first one is devoted to showing the tools that have been prepared to cope with work, study and research dela essential part of the thesis that is contained in the second of the blocks and first describes the methodology or scientific method followed then shows the geographical and historical field in which it has dealt with the investigation, the third chapter is devoted to the different sources of information that have been used in the course of work, analyzing the accuracy and depth of each of them, after this, in Chapter 4 discusses the est 8 ate the af0 knowledge and its development until today. The second section consists of four chapters and is the body of the thesis. The last of the blocks summarizes the conclusions that had been reached in the thesis and proposes in the light of the research carried out new avenues of research that will help deepen the various gaps that the thesis has opened to expand knowledge on the signaling systems in the antigà ¼ maritime age shows work. The second block, the main body of the thesis, since structure is in chapter 5 until chapter 8. The first, Chapter 5 examines the different types of maritime signals in the antigà ¼ age, use and type, began when each of them and their fundamental characteristics. Chapter 6 is devoted to the description of lighthouses, both as a coastal port, in different cultures, which were developed over the history of the Mediterranean basin in the antigà ¼ age, deserves special importance typological classification of lighthouses Romans, suggesting different reconstructions as the beacon of Dover or the proportions of the lighthouse of Alexandria, tried in capítulo8. Chapter 7 deals exclusively lighthouses around the coastal front of the Iberian Peninsula; fronts are considered the Cantabrian coast, Galicia, Portugal, southwestern and Mediterranean coast. There are reconstructions of lighthouses the La Coruna, Morrazo and Gádir and analyze systems lighthouses in the antigà ¼ age along the Spanish coast. Chapter 8 is devoted to analyzing and studying the developments that occurred in the past lighthouses, both in its structure as the luminaire possessing the lighthouse, and the networks that existed lighthouses. The last two paragraphs of this chapter are devoted to inquire into the procurement systems of public works in the antigà ¼ age, especially in Rome, and to consider positioning systems that owned the boats to understand their situation and the direction that they took.
