Summary: The study aims to be a formal approach to gear institutional Church Cathedral palentina in XVc., especially significant in the city -pérdida progressive manor episcopal- as the Kingdom of Castile -inestabilidad politics in the reign of Henry IV. From a sociological standpoint, administrative and institutional, takes stock of the socio-political significance of the bishop palentino as well as the whole of the cathedral church, diocesan and parochial. It puts special emphasis on the characterization of the town council, in its evolution, its components and their daily lives (training, residence, collective behavior, geographic origin). Dignidades, canons, racioneros, big winners, and excused officers of the institution capitulate are analyzed from an organizational point of view without losing sight of the social impact in a city with a strong mark and Episcopal subjected over s. XV to control increasingly close by the Spanish monarchy. They also studied the mechanisms of power and social reproduction that the clergy medieval palentino was in the city and its impact on the field of local politics. Everything on the ceremonialización power, the image propaganda that the bishop and the Cabildo used in the city at certain times were analyzed to determine the relationship of the clergy with the city's inhabitants.
