DISCURSIVE REPRESENTATION OF THE ARMED CONFLICT IN COLOMBIAN PRESS.Author: MORALES MORALES MANUEL JOSÉ. Year: 2002. University: POMPEU FABRA. Summary: Within the historical context of the armed conflict in Colombia, is monitored Colombian newspapers, El Tiempo and El Colombiano, in order to watch how this conflict represent discursively (aspects lexical, syntactic and semantic). We take into account four genres newspaper: news, editorials, features and opinions. We show that within the sphere of political discourse, there is a cammpo discourse on violence, and within this, a domain of discourse specialized (legal) about the same, depending on the context discursive. Summary: The main objective of this dissertation is to propose an approach to the lexical creativity in the framework of a model based on the use morphological, functional and cognitive (Langacker 1988, 1991; Bybee 1988.2001), orientation and methodology empirista (Geeraerts 1997 ; Geeraerts, Grondelaers and Bakema 1994). This approach takes a starting point as against that of competing models for the morphology generative, because, rather than assume the autonomy of jurisdiction over the action, part of the interaction between these two dimensions of language. Summary: This thesis aims to address how documentation centers are perceived by the Local, how they are organized and what role it plays. I opted for studying the metropolitan area of Lisbon, as the most developed country in the information sector (and the tertiary sector, in general). Procuré a reflection on the evolution of the role carried out by these services, and raise some proposals (for example, the creation of an inter-bibliographic database) to improve coordination between them, so as to allow increased functionality and visibility. This proposal is not born from nothing. There are already databases bibiliográficas, accessible via the Internet or Intranet. With this work I do not intend to add anything new to the concept of bibliographic database. The objective is to produce a reflection on the same universe of documentation centers, because I think that they have not played a role commensurate with its potential. Which services can be provided, and how can better capitalize on the investments made, are issues on which I occupied. Summary: This dissertation is on the teaching of English to speakers / vorienses various indigenous languages. It has four parts. Place of preparation: FACULTAD CIENCIAS DE LA INFORMACIÓN. Summary: The aim of the dissertation is the result of new parameters in determining the quality of the abstract documentary. Previously, defines short documentary, reviewing the literature on the quality of the abstract, as well as the national standards (UNE 50-103-90) and international (ISO 214: 1976, ANSI / NISO Z39.14- 1997) related. Here, we studied a series of 60 abstracts from six databases Internet differentiated by sector specialist (education and agriculture) and distribution by language (Spanish, English and Italian). The summaries were first analyzed taking into account the context in which they appear, the policy of databases, and some formal aspects, such as average length, typographic presentation and structure, in a second phase, the analysis is done from the point with regard to potential users of the summaries. For this purpose were conducted 62 interviews, in 6 universities, in which interviewees (professors, researchers, graduate and career) highlighted positive and negative aspects of the object of study summaries, l also provide data on their demands information , and the intended purpose to which the abstract. Following the data obtained from the interviews, some summaries were compared with the original document the respective title, or descriptors that accompany them in the database. The results of the analysis are discussed according to the documentary and lingüstica relevant literature. Summary: This research raises the formulation of a comprehensive model for managing documents for the High Court of the State of Mexico. The daily generation of documents generated by this institution increases exponentially product of the activity decisions of judges and magistrates, which constitutes the main factor of overcrowding and loss of historically valuable documents. In light of the foregoing, it is proposed in this research methodology to develop a theoretical model for comprehensive management of documents consistent with the requirements demanded by the institution, because until now has lacked an archival system that governs control of their documents. The dissertation consists of three sections which include ten chapters in total. The first part presents the theoretical framework and institutional research. It discusses the principles that fan support to the formulation of our model. It includes three chapters: 1. The archival integrated. Review models; 2. Information systems and archival systems in the administration of justice and, 3. The Tribunal Superior de Justicia del Estado de Mexico: structure and function. In the second part, and in a single chapter, establishes the diagnosis of the current situation and outlook of documentation and archives of the High Court of the State of Mexico, field study, which aims to know the follow-on the documentation makes it generates and receives the institution, as well as the situation in their files. Summary: The main aim of the thesis is to find an interface between the visual language exemplified by the table Guernica by Picasso and verbal language exemplified in poems inspired by the table. It looks first elements of the perception of an object visually, it is considered among the equation sign lingà ¼ istico and sign painting ($ Kress Van Leeuwen, Thibault, Zunzunegui). They provide the parameters to be followed in the analysis of visual text, which are contained and depth, vectors, perspective, and topical theme, color, light, gaze direction, texture and the social and historical context. We used the tools of functional grammar (Halliday 2004) and the coincidence with the school of gestalt. Summary: The work investigates the effects of simultaneous manipulation of time planning and the degree of displacement in the time and space production of oral narrative in the L2. First, the paper analyzes the similarities and differences between the Speaking in the L1 and L2, and analyzes the processes of attention and memory. Secondly, defines concepts and complex cognitive task. Thirdly, is a review of the available units for the design of programs for teaching language. Fourthly, is reviewed literature relating specifically to the variables of planning and + /-here and now, and presents four scenarios of the study. The first hypothesis states that provide planning time positively affect the fluidity and the structural complexity of the production of the speakers, without having a significant effect on the lexical complexity or correction. The second hypothesis argues that the increasing complexity of cognitive tasks forcing the narration in there and then will have a positive impact by the lexical and structural complexity and correction, but few negative fluency. The third scenario foresees a major impact on planning time production in the more complex cognitive tasks. The fourth scenario suggests that the impact of the increasing complexity of cognitive output will be larger when there has been time for planning. Methodologically, using a repeated measures design to obtain oral narratives of 48 subjects of an intermediate level of English, and establishing 4 levels of cognitive complexity combining the two variables and each student narrates each story under each of the conditions. Measures include two measures of fluency, three measures of the lexical complexity, one of the structural measures and four of the correction. The subjective perception of the cognitive complexity by students is controlled through a questionnaire that measured variable emotional difficulty, stress, confidence, motivation and interest relating to each terea, and validated by analyzing protocol. The results of the repeated measures ANOVA tests show that provide planning time has a positive impact on the fluidity and complexity lexical. The increasing complexity cognitive through the variable + /-here and now has a positive impact on the correctness lingà ¼ istico without significant effects or for structural or lexical complexity, and negative effects on fluency. There are different significant impact of planning tasks in the here and now are increased under planning conditions without reaching significant levels. Additional results show that the more complex tasks cognitively are perceived as more difficult, stressful and generate lower levels of trust without affecting the perception of interest or motivation. The results are explained in the light of theories production of L1 and L2, as well as in terms of models that defieren in his conception of how attention works during production. It is argued that the dimensions of complexity lingà ¼ isticas and correction can be served simultaneously as long as the tasks are simple level planning and complex cognitive level of complexity (in there and then). Finally, it argues that the complexity of cognitive tasks in a construct empirically testable and useful for the design and sequencing of the tasks in an education program.
