Summary: The paper aims to describe and evaluate the current situation of the libraries' imprisonment in Catalonia, with the aim of identifying those aspects of its organization and management that may be room for improvement, as well as develop a proposal for joint action to try to resolve possible deficiencies. Summary: This paper deals with the search, editing and study of a body of documents bermeanos for centuries XIII, XIV, XV and XVI. I intend to offer him a set unpublished documentary that contributes to the knowledge of the history lingüstica of this village in cultural Spanish. The choice of Bermeo as a stage and the object of this study is justified by the lack of a body relative to this time and to this coastal town. The work opens with the first part focusing on the body of research and structured in two parts: the first devoted to the history of Bermeo and the second, composed of two parts, document description of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries assembled from archival research and a further selection criteria which serves both as a diplomat documentary diplomat notarized. Summary: The scientific community of Extremadura and relatively recent introduction of a field general, it may be a good model for studying the patterns of convergence towards prevailing trends in scientific fields. This study aims to analyze scientific activity in the autonomous region of Extremadura, in a period of time representative (1990-2002), through the application of indicators that provide information about the state of the activity and of the actors involved in the scientific process . To this end have been used socio-economic indicators (tickets) and bibliometric indicators (departures). For socio-economic data has been used as a more reliable source of INE for the production and scientific databases ISI. In both cases have recovered data relating to the Community of Extremadura and Spain to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the scientific enterprise and show their dynamic changes. To that end, we have focused on research with international projection made by the various actors involved in the System of Science and Technology of Extremadura. And they use the impact factor of scientific publications to determine the visibility of this production in the international arena.

Summary: This study describes the scientific production at its Spanish international perspective contained in the databases of the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) for the period 1995-2002. The main objective of this study is to develop a set of indicators for the analysis and monitoring of the Spanish scientific output. To this end, have been used mainly bibliometric indicators that have been complemented by other economic and social data. The end result introduces a methodology from which they can analyze the results of scientific activity in each of the dimensions of analysis, the system of relationships in which they operate. Moreover, the study is complemented by the implementation of the proposed methodology to characterize developments as both the current situation and trends of scientific development Spanish. In this vein the study seeks to quantify the Spanish production, characterize through a series of indicators both simple and relational perspective quantitative and qualitative relationships and placed within a broader context, making some comparisons with other countries in our area and with global production.

Summary: It addresses the new industry of the information, content, types and components, from the reconciliation of Library Science and Documentation, Journalism & Marketing, showing the contributions of these disciplines to the new industry and its involvement in the design of new products and digital services. It follows a synthetic methodology and conceptual, complete with examples from crawling the Web, the revision of current newspaper articles and magazines; have consulted discussion lists and studies (ASEDIE, OCLC), to identify the goods proposed and give a vision of what is the information market. It was part of the idea of information as a product, reaching an outline of the information in a market-driven environment in the creation of documents. The proposed classification of information products (analog and digital) and especially, it is designed a typology of digital products, based on the forms, marking changes, common features, characteristics and structure, from the perspective of its raw material, information. Finally addresses the facts that show where they go trends in information products and their consumption in the near future.

Summary: This research aims to perform an analysis and assessment of various methods used to evaluate collections from a theoretical point of view but also implemented. To do so, first, deals with the theoretical background on the assessment of collections presented the main concepts that underlie the development of collections (criteria for selection, procurement forms, etc..), And the broad depth analysis field methods for evaluating collections grouped into two broad classes: methods based on the collections and methods based on the use delas collections. Secondly, it conducts a case study in the University library John Paul II (Lisbon) used to analyze the effectiveness of three of these methods in practical ways, and to make an assessment and suggestions on the status of the collection studied. This paper explores the origins and development of the mobile library services, in a general way in Spain, and particularly in Leon. Based on the idea that bibliobuses are library services with the same functions as a library stable, is a study of the trajectory of the reading public in Spain, reviewing the various library systems, in depth in the library system of Castile and Leon . The description of the library organization in the province of Leon serves to frame the Library of Leon, under review of the thesis. By multivariate analysis techniques, perform a quantitative analysis of the service since its inception in 1974 until 2000, in order to know the history that happened with the increase of vehicles. The annex includes all the data collected and who have served for conducting statistical analysis that have led to a series of conclusions. Summary: This thesis examines the feasibility of automated classification systems documentaries for use by automated systems and end users. Summary: The objective of this study focuses on obtaining an overview of the dissemination and implementation of ISO 9000 in the libraries of institutions of higher education and the characteristics of the quality systems in place in these libraries. It defines a theoretical framework where framed the study of the applications of ISO 9000 in the context librarian and develops a methodology to determine the extent and impact of ISO 9000 in the libraries of institutions of higher education. Based on the results of a survey of library directors who are in possession of the certificate of quality ISO 9001: 2000 describes what has been the evolution of the implementation of ISO 9000 in the libraries of institutions of higher education, are determining what the rationale was for implantarlas, identifies the difficulties presented by the implementation, discusses the benefits of systems certified and performed a prospective study of what could be the future of ISO 9000 in this context.

Summary: It reconstructs the Library of the Society of Jesus of the College of St. Stephen Murcia. Through the study of literature inventory, conducted in connection with the expulsion of the Jesuits in 1767 on the orders of Charles III, a working methodology for the identification and classification of the titles and editions. The result is a catalog match, on the basis of information that on the books, provides inventory and bibliographic descriptions of them, related to further training, regulated by the education system of the Jesuits, usually practiced in the colleges Order.

Summary: The objectives of this work are the development, validation and implementation of a model for evaluating scientific journals, adapted to the characteristics of the current periodicals Spanish science of physical activity and sport, which allows classify them into different categories quality. To accomplish this purpose, first, an updated inventory of scientific journals of the field have been analyzed and the basic characteristics of these publications. Then, it has developed a model for assessing overall quality of the journals that combines formal indicators of indirect scientific content and distribution, which consists of 23 indicators that include 67 features of a magazine. Validation of the model design has been carried out through two procedures: the definition, application form and propriety of the 23 indicators, as a validation of content, and the comparison of the results obtained after applying the new model and another long (model at the University of Sao Paulo), a group of 10 magazines, used as empirical assessment. Finally, it has made an assessment of the overall quality of scientific journals Spanish science of physical activity and sport, applying the model validated by analyzing fascicles published in the year 2004 for the 32 magazines in the inventory. Among the magazines valued, 'Review of Psychology of Sport' reaches a level of quality "very high". Four other publications, 'Apunts. Physical Education and Sports', 'Archives of Sports Medicine', 'Motion' and 'selection', get a level of quality "high". Fifteen magazines reach a level "medium" and twelve magazines are placed in a level 'low'. It concludes by recommending to the editors of magazines adopting a series of measures to ensure that these publications get maximum recognition by increasing its capacity and scientific publishing.
