Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE TRADUCCIÓN E INTERPRETACIÓN. Summary: This research project is based on the rigor of the scientific method and related to the field of translation. While the use of empirical methods is relatively new in Translation, every time we are more scholars of the discipline we chose "an investigation verificativa (â |) from experimental designs and strategies that rigorous methodology to measure and assess the implications of our hypothesis working (Kreutzer and Neunzing, 1998:128). " For authors like Là ¶ rscher (1991:7), it is the only method that allows formulate hypotheses about the process translator, shedding light on the complex phenomenon psicolingüstico that takes place when we translate, with a consequent benefit to the teaching of translation. To carry out this research we used a computer program called Translog 2000 that was designed by Arnt Lykke Jakobsen, a member of the group TRAP at the Faculty of Languages Professionals Copenhagen. This program provides information on the systematic use of the computer typing, which can be inferred some extreme relative to the process of translating the subject. Similarly, this method has been combined with more traditional ones such as semi-structured interview, the immediate introspection, and so on. To get a higher degree of validity in the results. This project aims to verify empirically what is in each of the following positions: on the one hand, advocated by most scholars believed that translation to translate learn, and that an individual bilingà ¼ and is not going to translate better than a person who has been trained in the art and on the other hand, advocated by the authors as Brian Harris, Bianca Sherwood, and Pamela Gerloff among others, supporters of the famous theory of natural translation, which has increased its attention to the innate ability of mediate lingüsticamente and posits that any subject bilingà ¼ e, regardless of age, grade and type of bilingà ¼ ism, can be translated without formal instruction. To that end, the study examines whether the theory of natural translation Harris (1973) is fulfilled in a given environment and particular characteristics, is, in the university academic environment, and comparing subjects bilingà ¼ is outside the world of translation of fourth grade students of the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation of Grenada who have received formal instruction on the matter. All subjects of the experiment conducted tests of direct and reverse translation and are allowed to make use of reference sources pair documented.

In our study we conducted a descriptive analysis of various factors, both lingüsticos as cultural, in various editions, comparing the results that appear on the original with those of two translations, to compare this way each translation with the original and translations between them. ANALYSIS OF THE PRACTICE OF JUDICIAL INTERPRETATION IN SPAIN: THE INTERPRETER FRONT OF HIS PROFESSIONAL ROLEAuthor: ORTEGA HERRÁEZ JUAN MIGUEL. Year: 2005. University: GRANADA [ www.ugr.es]. Place of defense: Facultad de Traducción e Interpretación. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE TRADUCCIÓN E INTERPRETACIÓN. Summary: Over recent years Spanish society has undergone a great social and economic transformation, our country has gone from being a country of emigration to become a country of immigration. Faced with this new situation, the government must respond to the challenge posed serve many citizens who do not share our language. There are many possible solutions, and one of them go through the figure of the interpreter, hence the huge boom that has experienced both from a teacher as a researcher, a genus of interpretation, in the Interpretation Services Public (ISSPP), which presents a number of special features. One of the specific areas in which they are professionally develops this kind of interpretation is the Administration of Justice, ie courts, where the presence of interpreters is supported by both national and international standards. However, apart from the doctoral thesis of Giambruno ( 1997), so far little had been developed on scientific research in this field in our country and virtually all the research is reported in conference proceedings and monographs of small contributions in kind diverse. In most cases these jobs are signed by court interpreters active realize their professional experience. For these reasons it was necessary to investigate a phenomenon that scientifically it has been the subject of scientific studies in various other countries. Despite the existence, as has been said, regulations governing the presence of interpreters in court proceedings, the actual situation of the judicial interpretation in Spain is far from the best. Therefore, the objective of this dissertation is to describe and analyze the state of affairs with regard to the practice of judicial interpretation in criminal matters in Spain. Thus, on the basis of existing literature on this subject (mainly from countries like USA, UK, Australia and Sweden, countries pioneers in the field of ISSPP), this thesis examines critically models accreditation professional and provision of judicial interpretation in the different territories and administrations that have expertise in the area of justice. In addition, it explores the analysis of the role of interpreter, which is at the heart of many debates in the field of ISSPP. This analysis is done by a scientific study of descriptive not pilot is based on a questionnaire applied. Once designed, developed and piloted, the questionnaire was circulated among a representative sample of the universe of subjects under study, namely among court interpreters who perform their work in the criminal court order. Thanks to the questionnaire, this thesis describes and analyzes aspects profile professional and academic subjects, the working conditions of a specific work environment, as is the Spanish criminal court order, as well as the image and role of professional court interpreter . The research sheds interesting conclusions, to the extent that confirms what many scientific studies, both experimental and non-experimental, carried out elsewhere in the world suggest, namely the differentiated nature and dynamic of the entire meeting communicative mediated interpreter and, what is even more important if that is possible, the active and full participation of the interpreter in this exchange.

The purpose of the study is composed of five films American independent films exhibited in Spain, dubbed and subtitled version, in the period from January 2001 to June 2004. It has been considered for this thesis both the preliminary phase of the translation itself. Empirical evidence from the preliminary phase has been collected through follow-up interviews of the translators of the two versions of the films that are part of the corpus. For the case of phase translation, presents 480 samples of the five films in two versions, which have been compared with each other. The study's conclusions are drawn from the qualitative and quantitative. In the case of the analysis of the figures obtained quantitatively, rigorous statistical methods are used to show the similarities and differences between the translation method used in subtitled and dubbed versions of films. Summary: The Doctoral Thesis I made belongs to the field of Comparative Literature and the Literary Translation, as it I had to include a large amount of text from different gaps so as to facilitate the task of the reader to try to understand the impact of Works of Thomson in Europe and, more specifically, in France. Similarly, in order to make a good study of the author's work Scots, I had to delve into the currents that most influenced him when constructing the poem, so I had to refer to sources on Nature, Greek and Latin. In the third chapter, I focused on an exclusive basis in the figure of the author and in this particular work, and in this chapter conducted a detailed study of the most innovative calling attention to read the book, because its conception of poetry of Nature different from that until then had been known, and then conducted the analysis and description of the work. In the fourth chapter analyzes the influence of the poem in French literature from the second half of the eighteenth century, to visit the poets who either has imitated the work of Thomson, or have been inspired by him, building some Saisons and other Mois or other variations. Finally, I should mention that I have included an appendix at the end of the thesis, which deals with the different translations into French of the work, both in prose and verse, and a translation by me of a particular party. The thesis provides a study prior to the analysis of speeches on the complexity of sociolinguistics Morocco and its relationship with socio processes and the current reality sociolinguistics. After this sociolinguistic analysis, the thesis offers a thorough critical analysis of various speeches that belong to discursive formations, and claims associated with conflicting ideologies. This analysis focuses on the representation of the languages, identities and linguistic diversity, and the value attributed to them in different speeches circulating in the market lingüsitica of Morocco: dominate discourse old dominant discourse again, including the legislature, the speech and alternative amazigue. Another contribution of this work is the fact referring to the social and political consequences of linguistic imposed by the state power and the ways of resolving the conflict, in connection with the approach chosen. These tracks range from social issues such as democratization language (which is also social and political) and the recognition and official recognition of the languages which have historically been dominated and subordinated (Moroccan Arabic and amazigue).
