Summary: This thesis analyzes the problems inherent in the diagnostic process in the educational systems, proposing a model applicable to generic diagnostic different domains of learning. This model combines several techniques to foster the process of acquiring knowledge, and provides a proper diagnosis and reliable from the review of the responses of students for the years they face. The techniques used are as follows: Recognition Plans, Patterns of Equalization, Verification Preconditions, Detection Excess / Omissions, detection of deviations Blocks and Reviser. The independence of dominance is achieved through a conceptual structure of domain knowledge, correct as erroneous, according to a Model Tasks. It sets the requirements to define different types of exercises (test, matching exercises, and practical management) with several possible answers and solutions are not trivial. In general, an exercise is defined by the data for submission to the student, patterns of settlement and correct errors, and errors and deviations typical. The vision computational tasks of the Model identifies three levels of abstraction: the Plano Abstract contains meta-ontología to define the domain, and Concrete Plans and resolution containing specific elements that describe the functional domain necessary for the diagnosis. The system DETECTive implements the proposed design as a modular structure, which enables it to integrate with other applications. It allows instantiation build diagnostic systems specific to different types of domains, in particular implementing the domain of machine tools has led to the system FROGA-LAN.

Summary: Collaborative learning systems are very malleable valued by the community CSCL (Computer Supported Collaborative Learning Computer Supported Collaborative Learning) by the possibility that they offer their users to modify the set of integrated tools for the system to support a learning situation collaborative given. Unfortunately, the systems of this type can be found in the literature have two important limitations. On the one hand, sisternas malleable present do not allow the integration of tools that make use of supercomputing capabilities or specific hardware resources despite the fact that this type of tool is needed to support the realization of many situations. On the other hand, these systems do not allow the realization of learning situations collaborative manner guided even if the guided activities can contribute to increasing the effectiveness of collaborative learning. This thesis proposes a new system for collaborative learning malleable, called Gridcole (Grid-based Collaborative Learning Environment - Collaborative Learning Environment based on the Grid), which overcomes these limitations. Gridcole allows educators to define the set of tools based services to be integrated grid system to support the implementation of collaborative learning situations described by the language modeling educational IMS-LD. These tools are shared by different administrative organizations in the context of a gríd computer, if needed, can use capacídades supercomputing resources or hardware specific. In addition, Gridcole is able to interpret descriptions of the situations collaborative learning with the goal of guiding the participants during the conduct of the same. Assessing Gridcole is made from three different situations of collaborative learning that respond to the educational needs of different educational settings for real and whose support is necessary to have a flexible system that does not present the limitations mentioned above. This evaluation includes the finding that the sístema proposed can be used to support the realization of the three situations. It also includes analysis of the assessments made by the participants of two actual experiences in which the prototype Gridcole was used to make one of three situations. The results of this evaluation process show that Gridcole is a system that offers the potential for integration of tools and guidance that he posed, as well as that can facilitate the realization of a wide range of collaborative learning situations.

Summary: The apprenticeship system is the soul of human society, which is always looking for new tools and teaching methods in order to adopt its system and improve the learning process. One of the tools is the most advanced e-learning, which promotes e-learning as a means of flexible and distance learning. Currently, e-learning has become essential in our time, especially for universities. In fact, the heart of the eLearning solutions are LMSs / CMSs that automate the administration of the events of education. At present, there is a lot of software that are used as part of e-learning, but are necesarion more studies to improve these systems, especially those based on OSS to facilitate its implementation in universities. In the thesis, we will focus on the evaluation of three LMSs representative for the purpose of electing a robust LMS based on Open Source. Moodle is an LMS OSS bringing together a number of interesting features, it has been chosen to present a 'flexible LMS', which will allow new tools from knowledge management and collaborative work. One of the most important contributions that are at work is the integration of a system of flexible recommendation (RS). The incorporation of RS at LMS is evident, as it shared many similarities with other sectors (e-commerce). This thesis explores and investigates a sector of RS at LMS, the sector responsible for recommending educational objects. In this thesis, we present a new algorithm for the purpose of RS in a LMS to recommend courses to students, where the system prepares recommendations automatically without the user's request when the student reaches a course in the system; this algorithm is a Recommender hybrid method, which means that the method is appropriate mix of methods / approaches of RS, and the LMS chosen to implement the RS is Moodle OSS.De so deep and detailed, explained each step of this algorithm, we present all changes and additions to the system MOODLE to make this algorithm, the list of the same code, and finally presenting proof of RS

Summary: The Adaptive Hypermedia Systems Educational purposes (SHAE) are able to offer tours and curricula tailored to the needs and characteristics of each student. However, despite its educational, it is customary not to regard the adaptation of pedagogical strategy, and, therefore, do not include tools that allow the author to create rules of adaptation, which restricts its spread beyond experimental contexts. At the same time, because it only used models for designing components and educational components, characteristics or do not have mechanisms to reuse or share content, activities, strategies or rules of adaptation, which translates into an increase in their time and cost development. To overcome these problems, this thesis proposes to use the specification IMS Learning Design (LD IMS) as a method of marking the modeling of components called Adaptive Designs Instruction (EIS), which considers the learning activities to be undertaken, the objectives it seek, the prerequisites necessary to carry out the investigation, and the rules of adaptation necessary to adjust the flow of the learning capabilities of students. Also, to ensure their interoperability, the EIS are defined as independent objects, which allows reuse in different strategies and systems compatible with IMS LD. To set the attributes with which an EIS was taken into account characterization, and technical elements to make the adjustment used by SHAE developed so far, as well as the properties of IMS LD conditions to model adaptive and instructional strategies. The proposal of this thesis has served also as a basis to develop an authoring tool that allows the creation of DIA. This tool has been used to conduct an experiment to assess the proposal through a case study.

Summary: The objective of this dissertation is to determine to what extent new technology (Web resources and online programs bocetado computer) are useful for the improved space capabilities required by the engineering profession. They have selected two test measurement capabilities (DAT-SR and MRT) and has conducted a field study with students first career at the University of La Laguna (also taken some of the data University Jaume I in Castellón and the University of Cartagena). First, we measured the capabilities of these students at the beginning of the subjects. Once analyzed the results were selected those whose results were worse and were divided into three groups for improvement. Each of them have taught a course different from improving spatial skills. One classic techniques using pencil and paper, another through online Web resources and the third using the application e-CIGRO (tool bocetado computer developed by the group REGEO). Finally, at the end of the course was returned to perform two tests to students. Our results indicate that the three intensive courses, improve space capabilities of the students, getting some results very similar in all of them. It is also noted that there is a positive effect on the subjects of Graphic Expression on improving spatial skills of students
