Summary: In this paper we study one of the techniques use of auxiliary information for the estimation of functional parameters, called calibration, which since its inception has been followed by many authors. It discusses the problem of estimating the distribution function under cualqueier sample design when there auxiliary information provided by one or more variables that are ralacionadas with variable under consideration. After analyzing the known estimators of the distribution function is contruyen various estimators calibration for this parameter, develop its properties under a wide variety of situations. It also compares the accuracy of these estimators made with those outlined at the beginning of the chapter. The last part of the thesis is aimed at estimating a parameter nonlinear, as is the cuantil.
