    Summary: The requirements arising from the process of social change along with other problematic situations arising from the very structure and development of curricula and policies of a university entrance generate demands for guidance and support to students. Faced with this situation, with this thesis we aim to contribute to knowledge and identification of applications targeting academics extremeños of semidistrito Badajoz with the intention of proposing a service orientation that response to their needs in all areas of development in career. This research consists of two parts. The first comprises three chapters and it conducts a comprehensive review and theoretical foundation on the orientation, both at the levels prior to joining the University and in the subsequent development university. In the third chapter boarded the context under which research, the University of Extremadura. The second part of the work is an empirical study, which includes the fourth chapter, which deals with the research design, the objectives and working hypothesis, methodology and evaluation tool, then proceed to the statistical treatment of the data and its subsequent analysis and drawing conclusions. Finally, in the fifth chapter we make a proposal for intervention where we design the structure and configuration of a guidance department at the University of Extremadura.
  • A STUDY OF KNOWLEDGE ON FEEDING STUDENTS CAREERS IN THE AREA OF HEALTH OF MEXICO.

    Summary: The work is based on the line of investigation concerning the construction, organization and evaluation of knowledge for students, because from their results has been accepted that there are several types of knowledge that interact with students, teachers and context institutional like everyday knowledge, the students and scientists. The main objective was to investigate the formation gained in senior students on the theme of The Food careers related to health and the degrees of Medicine, Nutrition and Enfermedía. This study analyzed the responses to questionnaires applied to 186 students in the careers of Nutrition (58), medicine (49) and Nursing (79), students who had already completed a course of Nutrition. (The inlcusión of students in the Bachelor of Nutrition provided us with data for comparison). The Main Hypothesis of this research is that students in careers in the area of health do not have the expertise to develop an educational activity in the communities they advise in their future professional aspects of Food. " Based on this assumption were derived four scenarios that relate to: 1 - The knowledge of the students on the theme of food. 2, Al-term Food managing students. 3, Al-treatment presenting textbooks on the subject. 4, Al-treatment proponents curricula subjects of nutritional food for the topic in these races. The results show that students have poor knowledge on basic skills to provide guidance as food, the food groups, nutrients, labeling, hygiene and food preservation. Virtually unknown graphic representation of the food groups (the food pyramid). There is confusion in distinguishing foodborne diseases of the slow evolution and diseases that have a relationship to an inadequate diet. The analysis of data on the eating habits of students tell us that there has been no development of healthy attitudes throughout their stay at the university since a high percentage of students show high BMI of obesity. Students studied do not have a current definition of Food. Regarding textbooks have to be analyzed 50 books, most of which are not able to handle a current definition of the concept of Food and very few develop the theme. In the case of touching the item is not treated in a comprehensive and holistic perspective, most have a predilection for biochemical approach and diet therapy. It is important to the history of Food. They do not provide a proposal for didactic teaching of the subject, since they do not contain activities, questionnaires, presentation of cases, and so on. An analysis of official documents which deal with the teachers of the subjects of Nutrition not include a holistic approach to teaching the subject. There is no consistency between the documents concerning the goals and purposes of the subjects. There is no definition of "competence" to be developed during our courses according to the skills required to perform such activities as providing guidance Food, Nutrition Evaluation or for the Food Intervention.

    Summary: This thesis is a study of the genesis of students' attitudes toward the University, in fundamental terms relating to keep in mind as guides (or predictive) of their conduct in this context. Specifically, within this overall framework, the thesis focuses on assessing the training role of the institution in the University promote such attitudes, maintaining that this may be an important indicator of the quality university. To that end, we began the merits of the investigation that was consituída by five large reference contexts that give meaning: the study of literature on attitudes, analysis of university education system, the debate about the quality university, overhauling reports sociological and psicosocioales on youth, and the analysis of institutional rules. From this conceptual framework refencia, know how students handle the informaicón to build their attitudes, and indirectly know how the institution University participates in the process, became our aim of investigaicón, which dedicate the second part of this thesis. As a general objective research arises know what is the role of the University of Santiago de Compostela in the process of forming attitudes of students towards the University. To meet this objective, we accessed through a questionnaire to the perceptions of the estudiatnes of USC. We asked about 55 dimensions relating to the university level and could cause attitudes in students, through a series of basic questions: what are receiving information about the University? (In order to know the informaicón managing as a starting point for developing acitudes), who have been the key informants? (In order to know to what extent they recognized the institution as an agent for information), how do you value the information received? (In order to know the impact of information they manage students); how vlaoras University?, And what is your level of satisfaction with the same? Thus, based on input from students have achieved a comprehensive approach to the role of USC in the process of forming attitudes of students toward the University through information that moves. We have found the strengths and weaknesses in the institutional sense, and we have managed to define a set of proposals to help us implement the quality of learning of their students in particular. Thus, we see that the study on the genesis of the attitudes of students from the voices of the actors themselves is a relevant indicator of the quality of the institution in which it is located.
