Summary: The fundamental objective of this research is to assess the psychosocial aspects of health in women diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and its correlation with unaffected women (N = 120). Its frame of reference the theoretical contributions of Health Psychology, the Fibromyalgia and the contribution of the Model Biopsicosocial (Engel,
1977). The assessment instruments used are: "Scale of Social Climate" (FES), "Inventory Status Anxiety and Answers" (ISRA), "Inventory for the Beck Depression" (BDI), "Styles Inventory Strategic Afrontamiento "and the" Auto registration. " The data obtained through statistical analysis using the program SPSS version 11.0 for Windows indicate that the results are inconclusive regarding the presence of psychosocial aspects differential in women diagnosed with Fibromyalgia when compared with women who do not have the disease, although not all are statistically significant. They present a social climate and family coping strategies and styles very similar to those not suffering from Fibromyalgia but reflect higher levels of anxiety and depressive symptoms.
