PROPOSAL FOR A THEORETICAL MODEL EXPLAINING THE STUDY AND SOME OF ITS COMPONENTS.Author: GUIBERT ESPEL MARÍA. Year: 2004. University: PAÍS VASCO. Place of defense: UPV/EHU. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE PSICOLOGÍA DE LA UNIVERSIDAD DEL PAÍS VASCO.
Summary: The work provides information to the study of the etiology of child neglect. This type of abuse / neglect is the type of child abuse with higher prevalence, with severe consequences for children (Erikson, Egeland and Pianta, 1989), whose study is characterized by a shortage of etiologic models) Wolock and Horowitz, 1984) . This thesis develops a theoretical model of child neglect that tries to apply to the study of child neglect knowledge of the investigation into the conduct of aid by integrating two different perspectives: that of empathy (Batson, 2002) and the processing of social information (Milner, 2000). This model is a general assumption that parents negligent presented certain deficit in the emotions that motivate behavior help, or experiencing these emotions, certain cogniciones produce alterations in the grounds of aid. We carried out a survey with 40 mothers and 40 mothers remiss not negligent with the aim to bequeath some of the theoretical assumptions of this model. The results show that, faced with a situation of need, child mothers negligent attach greater controllability of the child. Mothers negligent believe that the baby is more able to resolve by itself the needy. Furthermore, the results show significant differences between the two groups in depressive symptoms, social support and adult attachment. Mothers negligent characterized by greater experience depressive symptoms, less social support and the family and for presenting an attachment ambivalent / anxious. THE EUROPEAN IDENTITY AS A SOCIAL CONSTRUCT COMPLEX ANALYSIS OF SMEARING IN A SPEECH TO THE EUROPEAN IDENTITY GENERATED THROUGH SCENARIOS FOR THE FUTUREAuthor: LASAGA MILLET OLGA. Year: 2004. University: BARCELONA. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE PSICOLOGÍA. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE PSICOLOGÍA UNIVERSITARIA DE BARCELONA. Summary: The pesente thesis addresses the issue of European identity, from the dual identity of the European Union and individual identification with it. Both phenomena are analyzed from the epistemology of the complexity as well as from those premises of social constructionism compatible with the first. In this regard, it is considered that the social phenomena are complex realities, namely non-linear, blurry, catastrophic, fractals and chaos that are expressed through language and built in speeches socially shared by certain people in certain contexts. Consistent with this approach epistemological, presents a theoretical model of identity as a complex social phenomenon. This model, according to Nunné (1995), conceived as the identity and self mismidad as the multifaceted dimensions of identity. This is a complex system that is configured through a series of autorreferencias and heterorreferencias which modulate and expressed through language. Consequently, it also highlights the role of relational language considering that the narratives of identity are articulated in talks and posiconamientos discursive. Specifically as regards the European identity is a special emphasis on the need to expand the environment in which the narrative makes sense of European identity. Based on these assumptions would result in a study that by proposing different scenarios for the future of the European Union, that is different configurations of institutional identity, it asks participants in the study (all of them experts on topics of European Union) argue that their identification with each of them as well as the feelings they envoca imagine to be part of every scene. The texts elicited by the participants were analyzed by applying the principles of fuzzy logic to grouded theory of Glaser and Strauss (1967) with the support of the software QSRNviv. This methodology allows highlight, with the full richness of the nuances of the speech, some of the characteristics that should collect the identity of the European Union to generalize and increase identification with it. The main contributions can be highlighted: 1-Reconciliation of the epistemology of the complexity with the paradigm of social constructionism. 2, - Addressing the European identity from two aspects, both the identity of the European Union as of the features that are entrevén as more favorable to the achievement of a positive feeling widespread identification with the European Union. 4 - The introduction of a method of analysis of texts that respects and highlights smearing inherent in the language and communication process and is consistent with the epistemology of complexity. This is achieved by incorporating the principles of fuzzy logic to the grounded theory methodology using the QSR Nvivo. THE LABOR UNREST AT THE UNIVERSITY TEACHERS: A MULTIDIMENSIONAL APPROACHAuthor: SANTIAGO MARIÑO MARÍA JOSÉ. Year: 2004. University: SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE PSICOLOGÍA. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE PSICOLOGÍA - UNIVERSIDAD DE SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA. Summary: The labor unrest, whether under the rubric of stress, burnout or dissatisfaction works, has been consolidated in recent decades as a major contemporary challenges for the scientific community interested in the field of social sciences and health. This unusual interest is based, among other factors, growth in its impact on collective teaching, the costs (personal, employment, health, social, â |) which represents, and the urgent need to identify the flanks by the prevention and / or intervention must undertake their attack. Added to these considerations, the notable absence of studies on stress or burmout in academics, constitute the argument, design and approach of this work. Indeed, this research addresses from an integrative perspective labor unrest, including its various manifestations (stress, bornout and dissatisfaction labor) in academics. The work has been divided into two distinct parts: a theoretical and empirical part. In the first part, comprising four chapters, in addition to the rapprochement histórico-conceptual, elaborates on the different variables involved in the "process" of labor unrest, while the ever-bound review of the literature in this regard. Specifically, the vicissitudes definicionales (with its consequent controversies and disputes), the development of the main explanatory models and the evaluation of stress and burmout give body to Chapter 1. In Chapter 2 is a rapprochement with the "elements" of the process that gives coverage to the sources and types of response (psychological vs.fisiológica) stress. The tour of the various factors modular process stress takes center stage in Chapter 3, in particular social support, coping and some personality variables (Type A Behavior Pattern, hardness and optimism), which researchers have linked camp since fronts predictive and / or explaining the phenomena analyzed are the arguments for the development of this chapter. The latest chapter in this first part (Chapter 4) contains a comprehensive review of studies about stress, burnout and job dissatisfaction on teachers. Study selection takes place, as could not be otherwise, in terms of determining all developed in the previous chapters, appearing also in the final chapter of "tablas-resumen" Collect all studies. The empirical part is structured into three distinct chapters. Chapter 5 includes the approach to the problem, work goals and procedural matters: sample (N = 628 university professors) and description on the basis of various parameters sociodemographic variables and instruments of measurement and statistical analysis to be performed. The results of the investigation, articulated around two empirical studies, up Chapter 6. In the first study, in addition to the descriptive analysis that bring us roughly to the state of the issue, are subject to the test of the various stressors and symptoms depending on the level of self reported stress and burnout of academics: the results confirm, clearly, the existence of significant differences of the variables analyzed on the basis of these indicators of labor unrest. The fundamental objective of the second study is to empirically clarify the existence of comunalidades and / or differences between three indicators of labor unrest: stress, dissatisfaction and burnout; from the results it is concluded that the phenomena of stress, burnout and job dissatisfaction are widely interlocking and there comunalidades important between 8 of my 334 mos. Finally, in Chapter 7 discusses the results and presents the main findings. In summary, this research examines the relationship between different manifestations of labor unrest at the university professors not only to clarify the nature and extent of stress, burnout and job dissatisfaction, but also to determine their correlates and predictors. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS DEL DEPORTE. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS DEL DEPORTE.
Summary: In this dissertation was an analysis of the relationships between different elements motivational involving youth football practitioners and their relation to patterns of adaptive behavior and inadaptativos within that context. He stressed the social impact of this investigation, as both in Extremadura in Spain, soccer is the sport that more states have licenses, which must be added the large number of participants who are not federated. The vast majority of children and youth practice, or have practiced want to practice this sport within a group, guided by different aspects motivational and with different results in their behavior, ranging from the fun and satisfaction to the abandonment of the practice. In our work, we used as a conceptual framework the two most important motivational theories in the context of sport: The Theory Goals Ligro (Nicolls, 1984, 1989) and the Theory of Self-Determination (Deci and Ryan, 1985; Ryan and Deci , 2000; Vellerand and Rousseau, 2001). In both theories, assumes great importance the role of significant others (coach, parents, etc.), both for the development of motivational player for the consequences behavioral, emotional and cognitive it reveals. One of the main goals of our research is to analyze and verify the importance of the kind of guidance that set motivational coaches, parents and fellow footballers adolescents and the impact the perception of these issues on the practice of football at various levels. The sample of this work has been formed by 462 young footballers Extremadura, aged between 13 and 19 years, belonging to the categories of children, youth and cadet. The results obtained from analysis of the data confirm the importance that owns the social climate and context that establishes the coaches, parents and colleagues of the team, for achieving more adaptive behavior on the part of players, for example, possess greater cohesion equipment, improve the style atribucional or have higher levels of intrinsic motivation Check perception of a climate implicante towards learning and work, is more suited to encourage this type of behavior. Another interesting finding is that the relationship has been found between the motivational guidance, and guidance climates perceived motivational, will interact positively with the realization of this type of behavior. The same applies to players who have more practical reasons extrinsic and unmotivated, regarding those who have greater intrinsic motivation. Also noteworthy is the importance of significant others in order to avoid abandonment of the practice football federated by adolescents. Thus, it is found that the guidelines, but above all climates and success criteria perceived in other significant, have the capacity to prevent the abandonment of the practice of football when they involve toward learning and work. Likewise, it has been found that there is cohesion in the team and more intrinsic reasons, it was also positively associated with the persistence in the context of football. Finally, note that in this final part discusses the resutlados obtained, sets out the main findings and limitations of the study, and raises different prospective work and intervention strategies with coaches and parents to get a social climate and contextual entailing more adaptive behavior.
