Summary: The study of the adoptive process from a perspective not psicopatológica are very rare, almost non-existent in our country so that we set out to a vision of reality that have experienced and experienced individuals who are involved in the adoption process and peculiarities their characteristic. We start from the theory Brodzinsky to study the three groups that are part of the triangle of members of the adoption process. According to this theory the three groups (adopted children, birth parents and adoptive parents) are experiencing strong stress in the adoption process. It departed to include three groups approach in our research with their respective control groups: adoption, adoptive parents and biological family who had given up their children for adoption. In the case of adopted children will materialize this stress at the time of assuming that the reality of adoption, which implies having been previously abandoned, which was made independent from the age of adoption. The biological family for the loss involved in leaving a child, although reduced initial problems. In the case of adoptive parents are two different processes, the potential problem of infertility and secondly, going through the selection process in which they have to discover some of their privacy and be rated as suitable or not to be parents. The variables assessed include aspects of personality, motivation; impact of the stressor, for groups approach the stressor is the adoption process for groups and controls the event that they choose (death of a loved one, illness itself, separation, etc.) ; coping styles, social support, satisfaction with life and stressful life events. Apart from those variables which were made more complex statistical analysis (t tests, discriminant, correlations, factorial), have also been included variables obtained from semi-structured interviews and the history-making free format. The most relevant results are focused on the fact that about 20% of adult adoptees and adoptive parents reported not having experienced stress in the adoption process, but the remaining 80% that it experienced stress during the process, in the if adopted, the impact is as strong as the impact of the events described by the control group. This means that the adoption equate level possible post-traumatic effect on the death of a loved one, separation, serious illness, etc.. The same is not true that 80% of adoptive father, where the adoption process is much less stressful than for the control group. That is to say, could not be equated the process of being adoptive father and the events discussed above. Also, those adopted possessed neurotism levels higher than their controls, and the life they had been treated worse in the sense that they also had lived most stressful events. Also, they had less social support both at the time of adoption as it is today, and finally had adopted these active coping styles in the past, although in the present these differences disappear.

Summary: Apply two scales of personality [(Guidance Refusal to Issue (NPO) of the Social Problem Solving Inventory-Revised (SPSI-R) and the scale Satisfaction with Life (SWLS)], each with a separate shows (Studio A = 746 participants and Studio B = 426 participants), varying the number of response options in two, three and five alternatives. every subject should respond to the three types of response format within the same session. To avoid notice that they are answering the same questionnaire on more than one occasion, each pilot scale is inserted into a battery of tests (one for each study). used as a criterion to evaluate the effect of the number of response options on the psychometric properties scales and NPO SWLS both its reliability (internal consistency and stability temporarily) as its validity (evidence based on the internal structure and evidence based on the degree of relationship to other variables). These are evaluated from three different models psychometric: Classical Theory of the Test (TCT ), Factor Analysis of genetic Items (AEF) and Theory of Response to Items (TRI). Taken together, the results suggest that the number of response options affects so mild to moderate the internal structure and, in part, internal consistency of the scales used in this work Ph.D. thesis. Rather, the number of alternative response does not affect issues such as evidence based on the relationship with other variables or temporary stability (test-retest stability) of scales analyzed.

Summary: DESCRIPTORS: IDEACIÓN SUICIDA, PERSONALITY, PERFECTIONISM NEGATIVE, ADVERSE EFFECT. Summary: Following investigations Goldberg and Williams (1996), Hamilton and Schweiter, (2000), and other authors who studied the psychological distress of the Ideación Suicide in university students, especially in its partnership with Perfeccionismo, the current argument we made it our overall objective to link the presence of Ideación Suicide in the normal population and adult with more stable characteristics of the personality, or other constructs closely related to the dimensions of personality, such as Perfeccionismo desadaptativo and Affection negative. Identify, among other specific targets stemming from the general study of the psychometric properties of the instruments used, etableciendo presence Ideación Suicide, cuantificándola from a subscale of 4 items obtained from the scale of severe depression General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28). In this research have been involved students at the University of Leon, belonging to the degrees of Health Sciences and Social Sciences. The sample consisted of a 86% female and 14% male. Subjects responded by self-report to different cuestionaarios, including the GHQ-28 (Goldberg and Williams, 1988, 1996). NEO-PI-R Inventory Revised NEO Personality (Costa and McCrae, 1992, 1999). Inventory NEO of Five Factors (NEO-FFI) Costa and McCrae 1999 revised. We examined relations between Ideación Suicide and Perfeccionismo both positive and negative, along with other constructs, using factor analysis, correlation, ANOVAs and regression. Finally exposure of concllusiones arising from research in this dissertation:-fiabilidades of scales, including the subscale of 4 items for Ideación suicide (SUIC) we got the GHQ-4, are entirely satisfactory. - There is a close relationship with the Ideación Suicide personality, specifically with the factor Neuroticismo (N), as if it is measured with the NEO PI-Ro with NEO-FFI. The ANOVAs, the level of facets factor Neuroticismo indicate that students with the presence of Ideación Suicide score more Anxiety (N1), Hostility (N2) and Depression (N3) to students without the presence of Ideación Suicide. By contrast, the presence of Ideación Suicide score less positive emotions (E6). - Overall, the most powerful predictor of Ideación Suicide, and overall psychological distress in students, is the Perfeccionismo, but not the Positive Negative, which is associated and overlaps to a large extent with the factor Neuroticismo. The Positive Perfeccionismo is healthy and has no relationship with the psychological distress means by General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28).

Summary: The dissertation presented that falls in line with studies focusing on addressing the psychological aspects involved in the rehabilitation of people with physical disabilities from the perspective of gender. In this context, we will examine whether the double discrimination exists in our society towards women translates into any specific psychological profile to justify such discrimination. real and, therefore, the situation of discrimination against women can be based on such differences. Thus, the specific objectives raised in this study are, firstly, to compare the alleged variability inter-grupos (women to men) in the psychological scales, and on the other, to study the variability in the group of women (intra-grupo ) analyze any differences depending on a number of variables characteristic clinical and sociodemographic. Among the key findings, we have seen, first, which did not appear significant difference in psychological scales depending on the variable gender. Secondly, it apare relationship between clinical and analyzed scores on psychological scales in the group of women, except in extraversión and coping rememorado when talking about the variable level of injury. And thirdly, some socio-demographic variables (level of education and marital status) affect the responses of the women in some of the psychological scales. In summary, we conclude that there are individual differences in each of the psychological scales analyzed, but these differences are never influenced by the gender of people sample. In other words, does not provide a psychological profile to the group of women with LM that characterize or justifying dual social discrimination. This argues for the existence of processes identified to adapt to the physical disability sobrevenida.
