TERMS OF PRACTICAL AND VISUAL INFORMATION. THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT PROGRAMS PRACTICEAuthor: RIOJA COLLADO NATALIA. Year: 2004. University: CASTILLA-LA MANCHA. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS DEL DEPORTE. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS DEL DEPORTE. Summary: The origin of this Doctoral Thesis has been studying the contents theorists argue that the hypothesis of the variability of practice, the effects of Contextual interference and the importance of visual perception in the motor learning, motor control and sporting performance. Based on those levels, were raised the following objectives: 1-examine the effects dela practice perceptivo-visual in performance trap ball with one hand with binocular vision intermittent skilled adults. 2-To determine the limit of integration visual samples visual intermittent. 3-Study adapting to the intermittent binocular vision. To achieve these objectives has created a design consisting of 1 control group and 6 group practice, one of whom practiced with normal vision, three practiced with binocular vision intermittent and continuous two groups practiced with binocular vision intermittent organized either blocks or either random. All groups clashed at a pre-test, post-test, a test, two plus transfer test, group practice, a phase of Practice. Once the pilot phase, we performed statistical analysis appropriate, both descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that: 1, - only got an improvement in the performance of the trap with intermittent vision, the five groups who benefited from a program of intermittent practice perceptivo-visual forward. 2 - The limit of integration of visual samples obtained was approximately 20ms vision of occlusion and 80 ms. 3-Participants had the ability to adapt to the conditions of intermittent vision but in no case to reach the level obtained with continuous view except on the condition visual intermittent 20 ms and 40 ms vision occlusion. Summary: It is an experimental work on how the human brain integrates information auditory and visusal (movements articulatorios the lips) for the perception of speech. First, it examines how the brain can be integrated (via a process of recalibration) signals visual and auditory speech to be presented at different times, ie how desncronizada. It has been seen that the process affects the processing time of visual and auditory patterns in general. It also has analyzed whether integrating audiovisual speech is an automatic process or not. Our data suggest that this is an automatic process, but depends on the saliencia lingüstica of visual stimulation. For example, we have seen that during exposure to a dubbed film, the information they contain movements of the lips when we interfere more familiar (labial movements in Spanish) that when it is not. Finally, it appears that the use and integration of visual and auditory perception facilitate spoke foreign languages. INTERACTION TELEMATICS (IT) AND ACTION INTERACT TELEMÁTICAMENTE (AIT) IN A VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT LEARNING UNIVERSITY (EVAU). THE CASE OF UNIVERSITAT OBERTA DE CATALUNYAAuthor: MUÑOZ HENRIQUEZ LEDA M.. Year: 2005. University: BARCELONA. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE PEDAGOGÍA. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE PEDAGOGÍA. Summary: The argument posed by the existence of an action to interact telematicamente in a Virtual Learning Environment (EVA), adult or university (EVAU) which is distinct from the interaction telematics that would normally be in the network, investigating the EVA of the Universitat Oberta Catalunya (UOC). The investigation arose as a problem: How is the nature of the Action Interacting Telemáticamente (TIA) and what are the reasons and objectives, knowing the Interaction Telematics (IT), and in this context, knowing the Action Interacting Telematicamente ( TIA). Methodological The strategy is based on a qualitative approach, using methodologies Etnográfica, the Case Study and Observation analyzing the Model UOC, its interface, Spaces and Structural Materials a course across the curriculum in the UOC. The most important conclusion to the investigation refers, is a proposal for "Integrated IT and TIA for an EVA adult or EVAU", which in turn includes two proposed models: Model IT and TIA for EVAU "and" Process Model of the AIT's Tele-Agente "in which they show the extent that would AIT and AIT process that would occur from a Tele-agente and from the system in a comprehensive, individuo-ambiente-entorno addition to a definition of "Concepts of IT and TIA." Among other findings addressed, "Structure of IT in a Model EVAU" explaining Process Communication Telematics occurring in the relationship Interaction and concepts of IT and IT Cognitive Physics "respectively. Summary: This thesis deals with the characterization visual psychophysics 1D of the mechanism involved in detecting characteristics of the image is not accessible through traditional channels for processing or filtering of the first order theory postulated by multichannel of human spatial vision. Such images have been called second-order stimuli and the mechanism involved in processing, machinery second order. The second order stimuli used contrasting images that are modulated (CM stimuli) and the proposed scheme for demodular its contrast is the so-called filtro-rectificación-filtro (or outline FRF). The purpose of the thesis is to complete certain aspects of schedule and will design a computable model to explain (at least qualitatively) experimental results and perceptive phenomena known. First, it has proved the degree of linearity mechanism visual regarded as a second-order system total. Secondly, we have studied the characteristics of the filters of the first phase of the mechanism of second order (identified with the traditional channels of the first order) using masking paradigm based on the existence of gangs critics and two models of detection: channel fixed and variable channel (model which takes into account the effect of off-frequenxy looking). The results confirm that the shape of the FTMA delos channels is skewed and that its bandwidth in octaves decreases with frequency peak. Thirdly, generalizing the paradigm of masking the domain modulation in amplitude has been studied the characteristics of the filters of the second phase of the mechanism of second order. To do this, the thresholds were measured for detection stimuli CM where the modulation sinosoidal contrast was masked by noise modulator paso-banda (to our knowledge this is the first time that takes place in this type of experiment vision). From these results it is suggested that the second phase of the scheme FRF consists of a bank of filters linear overlapping, a selective frequency modulation, which decompose the image of the envelope in the range of 0.1 to 15 w / gav (at the level of luminance used) and whose bandwidth decreases in octaves with the frequency of peak filter. Thus, the structure consists of filters of the second stage seems to replicate the functional architecture known mechanism of the first order. Finally, it has designed a model for him computable second order mechanism that explains experimental results obtained by other researchers and phenomena of the visual perception of form, as the perceptual grouping and the perception of illusions geometric images whose Fourier spectrum lacks low-frequency space. ATENCIONAL EFFECTIVENESS OF THE NEW ANTI-TOBACCO HEALTH WARNINGS PROPOSED BY THE EUROPEAN UNION: EXPERIMENTAL STUDY USING TECHNIQUES EYE-TRACKINGAuthor: BARRIO DE SANTOS ANA ROSA. Year: 2005. University: NACIONAL DE EDUCACIÓN A DISTANCIA. Place of defense: PSICOLOGÍA. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE PSICOLOGÍA, UNED. Summary: The main objective of this thesis was to analyze the effectiveness atencional in advertising static of new anti-tobacco health warnings proposed by the European Commission in October 2004. To this end, eye movements were recorded while scanning ads snuff through techniques eye-tracking and subsequently took measures memory. In a first experiment investigated the influence to include graphic information on the anti-smoking warning, likening the capture of the warning atencional standard, consisting of the classic text message, with a disclaimer that include combined text and image. The results showed that the warning was combined looked longer than the standard. Secondly an empirical study was conducted to classify the various proposals images depending on the degree of emotional trigger that led to them, obtaining five images of high activation emotional and five other low activation. Finally, we analyzed the influence of the size of the warning and the extent of activation of the picture on the effectiveness of the new warnings atencional proposals. The results of this experiment indicated that the warnings doubled in size and containing the image of high activation managed to keep the attention longer and better recall. The main conclusions of the thesis were: 1, atencional-effectiveness of the anti-tobacco health warnings can be increased by incorporating color images indicate that the risks to consumer health. 2 - The image type used atencional influences the effectiveness of the disclaimer, which is greater when it causes high activation. 3 - The warnings are larger and faster served devotes more time to its exploration and subsequent cognitive processing. 4 - There is a direct relationship between measures of care obtained from eye-tracking and the memory later. The warnings are recalled better the more time is devoted to his visual exploration. 5, - The effect wear a warning negatively affects the capture atencional, so that they increase their effectiveness must be replaced periodically. 6 - There is the influence of prior learning on the memory, remind many times the standard anti-smoking message, even when it had not been shown.
