It used a sample of 170 subjects and pilot a sample pilot N = 425 consists of n = 173 young (between 18 and 24 years), n = 208 adults (between 25 and 65 years) and n = 44 retirees (between 65 and 80 years), and boys (222 men and 203 women) and seven adult professions (journalists n = 35; medical n = 30; entrepreneurs n = 33; policemen, firemen n = 29 and n = 41). The psychometric analysis conducted revealed that the CTD has a satisfactory reliability and internal consistency and a well-defined structure factor in the ten factors of the first order and second-order all three. Moreover were obtained significant differences in the variables illustrative age, sex and profession. Summary: Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chronic disease poorly understood. Several researchers point to a possible connection with the ongoing and chronic high susceptibility to stress, but lack of clarity about what personal variables involved in the high susceptibility to the same face everyday events. We sought to identify situational and psychological variables that influence vulnerability to stress. METHODS: Qualitative study with grounded theory. The parameter for the sample size was saturation information. Interviews are conducted in-depth interviews and applies a custionario sociodemographic and clinical variables are evaluated psychological, functional status and quality of life (STAXI-2, TCI-R, CTI, COOP WONKA, FIQ). Reliability for the use of triangulation data with a minimum of 85% of agreements. For the validity discussion of experts, among others. The software atlas.ti was used as a tool for analysis. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION are studied 10 women between 30 and 63 years, diagnosed with FM. They appreciated having low social support related to an alteration of functional little recognized socialmetne. Reveal values structures dominated by tradition and benevolence, which have focused on the performance of duty, the priority for aid and binestar other) and inhibition for not violate social norms. The beliefs about themselves are revealed in the same direction of its values. There is a resistance to change these cognitive structures which conflict with the scondicones limitation physical, cognitive and social FM. Seeking to be faithful to principles and congruetnes with autoconcepto was sobreesfuerzan physically and ignore their symptoms, impairing its clinical picture. Therefore their beliefs and values are the main source of physical and psychological stress. The structure of values of this group differs with people in their experience with the FM stressful emotions, these are the main anger, sadness, fear, guilt, shame, indicating meanings of humiliation, loss, autorreproche, failure in their identity. CONCLUSION It is important to work on relaxation of the expectations defined by the structure of their values and beliefs. The education community, to fectadas and his family on aspects of the FM and modifying factors of the social environment, may be ways to reduce the susceptibility to chronic stress and the FM.
