Summary: The main objective of this dissertation is to determine the peculiarities of the training that men and women should receive to exercise effective leadership and efficient and, in turn, have equal access to positions of responsibility. To this end we developed a questionnaire on leadership to be completed by direcitvas and managers Spaniards, with the intent to analyze the differences under sex, if any, in how to exercise leadership. Perhaps, these differences could explain to us why there were so few women in positions of responsibility. In this study we have observed, however, that the differences are very specific points of leadership, as in some aspect of communication with subordinates. That does not justify the fact that the percentage of women is so low in positions of responsibility for the boys. But differences are related to sex in other character social factors, such as salary, the number of people who are responsible or the need to combine the functions of the job with tasks unrelated to it.
