Summary: The thesis focuses interest in the journey as a human experience and, more specifically, the travel experience as entertainment. The work seeks to recover interest in the essence of a raw material or economic sector in which they are bought and sold primarily experiences. Moreover, it wants to transcend the analysis of these transactions and address the experience of travel itself. Therefore, as opposed to the traditional view of tourism as a reality strictly business, the work affects their psycho-social aspect as human experience. In this context, tourism is understood and analyzed as a facet of the human dimension, and therefore, it is understood that all tourism is to some extent a reality that shapes the life experience. In this context, the work poses for the entire world if the holidays pose the same or, in other words, if everyone understood the same way travel holiday. We want to know if there are types of tourists with different styles travelers based on their concept holiday or, in other words, according to the definition given to the subjective experience of leisure travel. In order to answer this question arose four major goals that guide the investigation: 1. Propose a model for identifying types of tourists according to the experience of living in leisure travel. 2. Identify the dimensions that comprise it and empirically verify consistency interdimensional the proposed model. 3. To demonstrate the model's explanatory power in defining lifestyles tour. 4. Demonstrate that the explanatory power of the model, which was designed based on psychosocial variables, is greater than that of the socio-demographic variables in defining types or styles of tourists. The work is carried out in three main sections. One part that is defending the conceptual basis and intends to construct an analysis of the styles of tourists, a second part of an empirical nature in which it proceeded to validate the proposed construct and demonstrate its capacity for guidance in identifying typologies of passengers, and a chapter conclusions. Under the title "The factor Ulysses. Experience in the leisure tourism," the first chapter focuses on explaining the reality of tourism as a leisure experience and the potential for analyzing from the paradigm of lifestyles tour. The fundamental interest of this chapter lies in the approach of a theoretical model for analyzing styles tourists. Secondly, under the heading "Empirical analysis of the model to identify types of tourists according to the experience of living in leisure travel," the empirical work includes a chapter in which he raises the empirical validation of the proposed model. Finally, it includes a final chapter in which he responded to the targets of the investigation and presents applications of the theory as well as the lines of inquiry that it opens.
