Summary: Analysis of the theoretical work of the town planner, philosopher and critic of the mass media Paul Virilio. The main part of the study focuses on revising notions "virilianas" propaganda, politics and globalization. In this sense, describes the consequences of the influence of the media, especially television, on society and culture. Also, a thorough review about Paul Virilio's ideas on the issues of reality, truth and knowledge.
