The methodology used is a qualitative and quantitative, with the intention of collecting data, which are mainly observations and interviews, originality is that it adds a biographical method, the history of life is a deep, drawn up for this effective from those used in similar studies with athletes, scientists or artists, their goal is to collect a profile of the road to the success of an outstanding athlete and close ties with the sport. To this must be added their views and behaviors related to its development and excellence in karate. The study will integrate trials and criteria, conduct and behavior of prose relevant within their professional activity. To which, using semi-structured interviews (such interviews is not as open as in-depth interview, the investigator here carries a questionnaire prepared with open-ended questions, grouped by subject). The fundamental objective of further interviews parallel is triangular data. The analysis inductivo-deductivo all the information leads to the findings, conclusions and suggestions for future investigaicón. This case study will show that there are some variables in the analysis of the success in the sport that has been unexplored and can be vital to understanding the development of talent delos great athletes.
  • COMMUNICATION BAD NEWS IN THE MEDICAL CARE.

    Summary: Interesó learn from the experiences of communicating bad news for the medical act on the part of medical professionals who received post-graduate training in internal medicine, general surgery and obstetrics and gynecology, in two schools: University of Salamanca (Spain) and University Francisco de Miranda in Coro (Venezuela). Following a qualitative design, discussion groups, semi-structured interviews and analysis of material, covered the experiences, feelings and values in three samples intentioned residents graduate, faculty and academic programs in place, to understand in a holistic manner. The communication process was described through the communication model used, the process of teaching and learning experience of their views against a proposed instruction on this content. The results showed that the communication model of bad news, is organized according to a personal style, not always planned, intuitive, which is not due to a pre-established model in the professional group. The order in which comply with the patterns of communication due to individual decisions and personal experience plus in all groups revealed to be insufficient to obtain satisfactory results, which contributes to misunderstandings and feelings of dissatisfaction and frustration among residents. The teaching-learning process is characterized by not include activities for theoretical instruction in communicating bad news; residents choose behavior patterns observed that they seem appropriate to their own way of acting and applied by trial-error. Participants expressed the need for specific training and continuing professional supervision, as well as psychological support for the sound management of stress and emotions involved in dealing with patient care and the professional. The educational intervention is sought wherever appropriate to their needs, resources and respective cultural and institutional realities.
