Summary: The problems of coexistence which in recent times have been taking place in schools, have been forced to consider the need to intervene through new educational proposals that promote the positive development of skills of our students and make socially responsible. In this work we are interested in the first place, knowing the degree of social competence that characterizes adolescents Asturians. This objective is carried out through a thorough evaluation process in which it used three instruments: BAS-3 (Battery socialization Silva and Martorell,
1995), which determines the characteristics of the socialization process: ACS (Scales Afrontamiento of Pereña and Seisdedos, 1977), which informs us about the main coping strategies used by younger, and finally, test Cognitivo-Visual (Garrido and Gomez 1996) that determines the skills of conflict resolution that possess these boys. With regard to the latter, we note that we also offer its baremación for the population of adolescents Asturians. Secondly, we take charge of determining the effectiveness of an intervention program built from the budgets of the Social Model Competition. The program, called Program Thought Prosocial (PPS), consists of the following work units: Troubleshooting, social skills, communication skills, emotional control, Creativity, Development Securities and critical thinking. Finally, we present a model in which establishes the relationship between different variables covered in this research, which gives us new patterns of intervention more effective.
