    Summary: In our quest to continue to discover new proteins modified by acid palmíticohemos discovered that iNOS is palmitoilada in its cysteine at position 3, which is necessary to change its regulation both at the subcellular localization of their activity. However, while the palmitolación dela iNOS appears to be a key point of control of this isoform, its interaction with caveolinas, especially with the caveolina-1 appears to be a new mechanism for regulating specific inhibitory activity. Ultimately all these results suggest that iNOS has a role within the cell that goes beyond mere advocacy role cellular awarded to it so far and in which further research is needed.

    Summary: The work reflected in this thesis aims to contribute to a better characterization of the mechanisms through which different therapeutic agents BMS-214662, Apo2L/TRAIL and Interferón-alfa) in cell lines of multiple myeloma (MM) and plasma tumor cells extracted from patients myeloma.
