RELATIONS AGROECOLOGICAL UNITS IN DOMESTIC FARM PRODUCTION AND SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE IN SAN JOSE CUANAJILLO AND THE DUNGEON, MICHOCAÁN, MEXICOAuthor: PÉREZ MAGAÑA ANDRES. Year: 2004. University: CÓRDOBA [ www.uco.es]. Place of defense: E.T.S.I. AGRONOMOS Y MONTES. Place of preparation: E.T.S.I. AGRONOMOS Y MONTES. Summary: The groups household members of the communities of San Jose Cuanajillo and Calabozo The state of Michoacan in Mexico and face a variety of complex problems, challenge them to create a series of ecological relationships, which may be elements to take into account for initiating the process of agroecological transition. The theoretical basis, conceptual and methodological this research are based on the agro-ecological approach, which is considered as an alternative for the study of the ownership of natural resources for the purpose of producing food and raw materials, and believes that ecological principles, economic and social order to avoid environmental degradation and social inequity. By prior information that we had on the benchmark empirical matter, the working assumption that guided our analysis indicated that the peasant households face different pressures, so that they make decisions that lead to shape relations in the ecological defense of these tensions, and these can be explained by the type of natural resource management and forms of collective social action.
THE GUIDELINES WORK IN SPAIN AND ITS DETERMINANTS SOCIODEMOGRAPHIC.Author: MUÑOZ GOY M. CELIA. Year: 2004. University: SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA [ www.usc.es]. Place of defense: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS ECONÓMICAS Y EMPRESARIALES. Place of preparation: FACULTAD DE CIENCIAS ECONÓMICAS Y EMPRESARIALES. Summary: That argument falls within the scope of studies examining the changing values in developed societies and focuses on the field of work. Specifically, the objective of this investigation has been the analysis of the guidelines work in Spain at different points in time and their relationship with some socio-demographic variables. The index of industrial guidance has been calculated using data for Spain in the European Values Survey in three years ( 1981, 1990 AND 1999), differentiating depending on whether the samples represent the total population in the active or inactive. The index allows locate every person interviewed in a specific reporting on their relative position in terms of the importance it attaches to the intrinsic rewards and extrinsic rewards, in selecting what features they consider important in paid work. As stated in the literature review, the intrinsic rewards are those related to the very task and based on the assumption that the work itself is a rewarding experience and that enables the development and self-realization, while the rewards Extrinsic are those relating to the external aspects and work based on the idea that work is a means to achieve other ends. Data analysis begins with a description of the index of industrial guidance and its evolution over time, in response to the assumption that, as various authors suggest, to improve socio-economic conditions would be expected of a trend towards the end guidance intrinsic. However, it notes that the guidelines work in Spain remain in positions rather extrinsic, despite the remarkable economic development experienced during the reporting period. On the other hand, he examines the relationship between labor guidelines and a series of socio-demographic variables, detecting that most relationships occur in the direction proposed in the assumptions made in light of the review of the literature. Specifically, the explanatory variables that are meaningful relationships with the guidelines are working on the level of study, the labor situation, the values on a general level, which have been measured using the index materialismo-postmaterialismo of Inglehart-, the professional category and income level. The employment status and age appear to be associated only with different orientations labor among the total population and inactive, while the gender does not offer a clear distinction of the guidelines work in all types of people. After the bivariate analysis were conducted a multivariate regression analysis with the aim of selecting the sociodemographic variables that have a greater impact on the guidelines work. The final multivariate model were obtained from a general model in which all variables were included independent effects changing over time and using a method of successive eliminations. The relationships that have been found in the multivariate analysis showed that there is a trend towards greater guidance labor relatively more intrinsic among people with higher educational levels, higher and professional categories in the securities field general tend toward values postmaterialistas. Although these three variables are interrelated, its effects remain independent in the multivariate regression analysis. The effect of years of data collection, which reflects the different socio-economic conditions depending on the timing of the survey, said that the guidelines work, in general, tend to be slightly more extraneous positions in the transcursode the age of nineteen considered.
