Summary: The dissertation makes a sore study the phenomenon of the relationship of love, courtship and marriage of the elderly. Reflection on the role of the affective component in the social sciences play an important role in this dissertation, especially among the elderly, who traditionally have been denied the right to maintain emotional relationships of any kind. Through a sample survey focused on the region, has researched the attitudes of people older than 65 years into the phenomenon under study in this research. Aspects such as physical attractiveness of the elderly, marital satisfaction, the mourning after the death of a spouse, or fear of criticism from relatives, neighbors or friends have been taken into account when analyzing such as the internalized stereotypes and social constructions on aging, as well as to try to find out who plays the role degree of assimilation of the same behaviors and attitudes conducted by the greatest respect to this phenomenon.
