Summary: This research aims at overall reflection and analysis of the attitude in front of the police ability to solve problems. They are demanding the police's ability to solve problems without going to analyze the basic components of the police system that can influence this ability, such as the training and preparation they receive the police or the methodology and techniques at their disposal. The first idea developed on how to deal with police conflict resolution was Professor Herman Goldstein, one of the first empirical theory on the police, "Problem Oriented Policing." Idea, whose starting point was the argument that the police should be classified as problems, not as incidents. Based on this idea, it aims to study the influence of police and organizational models on that attitude. Influence that becomes axis of this empirical research and related detection rates, resolution, types of problems and formulas used with the possible influence of organizations and police models. The study is based on an analysis of the results obtained using the content analysis. It has been the objective description, systematic, qualitative and quantitative content of the manifesto of the more than four hundred surveys conducted, 197 policemen and 217 policemen local autonomy, in about thirty police organizations. And also through the correlation of resutlados with personal and organizational variables obtained. This has been used as a theoretical framework, the existing theories on the definition of the models targeting police and police to solve problems, not to mention the contribution of theoretical approaches as Symbolic Interactionism, theories of conflict and social intervention . All this is intended to establish what is the element that gives greater influence on the attitude of the police in front of solving problems, namely the police model with those who feel identified the police or the police organization to which he belongs. And also, how is this influence in the way we deal with the Catalan police problem-solving philosophy of police work, taking into account their ability to detect, address and solve them, and, of course, the methods, techniques and / or personal skills they use. Also addressed in this study on the police, as is oriented relationship of the police and police officers with conflicts. This is how the police dealt with the conflict, it detects and uses, from the vision of solving problems, along with other players in the formal and informal social control. The conclusions are rethinking aspects assumed as developed by many police organizations. And also modify certain conceptions about the profeisonalización of the police. Conclusions, indicating that police do not know enough features of the models and police, especially in the proximity of the use of the word "problem" is not standardized among policemen. Conclusions that are ultimately advancing the conceptual development and professional, who can provide this study.
