The starting point was the difficulty of applying models cited nursing care in the workplace, even though they were designed precisely to direct and transform the practice. At the suspect, moreover, that the daily practice of nursing work could enclose its own cultural models, a first relationship between the two (theoretical models of enfermería-modelos cultural) as a hypothesis: perhaps the "non-applicability" those models are due to nursing that they did not agree with the model of our own cultural context that surely were marking practice. From these ideas were emerging goals of this research: First, identify the influence of culture on the practices of care nurses belonging to the National Health System in our context, and their role in building what we suspected "model implicit nursing, "which was the true model of operational practice nurse. Second, compared to the theoretical models of nursing, contrasting cultural elements associated with them. The results reveal the cultural construction of nursing, so it would be pointless trying to implement the so-called theoretical models, which have been built outside the context and confirmed the presence of an implicit model of nursing, which describes its basic features .
