: Beginning in the fifties in Italy begins a process of industrialization that will substantially altering the landscape and economy of this country, especially in the north. Well, in this particular historical juncture appears Antonioni film. Thinking in relation to the model of Hollywood, the film antonioniano has been characterized on the basis of the ruptures that through his famous empty fields, has introduced into the dominance of the action. The starting assumption of this theory has been considered that this film, like so many others, especially Europeans in the fifties, can not be conceived as a simple mechanical construction of the classic American model, but should be historizado from textual analysis . Because the filmography antonioniana represents the constant search for a style of its own through formal parameters unquestionably new in the history of cinematic representation, we have focused on five of the Italian filmmaker's movies that allow us to determine the existence of a new model film The anotonioniano. The films that make up our study are: Chronicle of a Love (1950
), Adventure (1960), Night (1961), The Eclipse (1962) and The desert red (1964).
